Hello my darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and this is post number 5545 - whew, another day, another adventure! It's been a whirlwind of pink, sequins, and twirls in the beautiful town of Royal Leamington Spa! 💖💖💖
As a reminder, I'm Alex when I'm not donning my favourite pink tutu, but I think we all know there's no escaping the sheer joy of sparkle and tulle. This life isn't for the faint of heart, but who needs faint when you have fabulous? 😉
You know me, my love for tutus borders on the obsessive. Just the thought of a ballerina in a twirling, flowing tutu gives me a joyous frisson! I could spend hours at the ballet watching the dancers leap, twirl, and pirouette in their shimmering tutus. I just can't get enough of the elegant beauty and delicate grace! 💕💕💕
Speaking of beautiful things, did you know Leamington Spa is actually considered one of the prettiest towns in all of England? It's all grand architecture and lovely parks. You can practically feel the regal air about the place. This is why, my darlings, I knew I had to bring my pink tutu here! 🎀 A fairytale town deserves a fairytale princess, right? 😄
This time I had to ride the train down. As you know, there's a certain poetry to the rhythm of a train journey – the chugging, the clacking, the wind whispering through the window – that is quite simply magical. I think the steam engines might just be my new favourite mode of transportation (but I'll never give up on my good old steed, Rosie! 🐴 ).
I performed for an afternoon tea at a stunning venue - they served the most delectable sandwiches! My dear readers, do I have a secret confession? I live for an afternoon tea - I believe it's one of life's true delights, alongside rainbows and fluffy puppies. 🥰 And then the venue had a garden tea party too, with twinkling lights strung between the trees, the most amazing strawberry cake, and enough floral patterns to make even a magpie's eyes sparkle! I know, right? Pure heaven! ✨✨
But you're probably wondering what a scientist is doing swanning around in pink tutus, right? Let me tell you, it all started when I was doing my science degree at university. The student ballet club had a fundraising event, and well, my inner fairy just had to come out. I popped on a tutu and - boom - I was hooked. It just felt like something inside of me finally snapped into place, you know? ✨ That feeling, the lightness and freedom - well, it just doesn't leave! 💕
This pink tutu passion? It became an obsession, and my real life in the lab blending fabrics became this wild, creative adventure of Pink Tutu Sparkles! I have this feeling in my bones that I'm spreading a message of joy and self-expression with my glitter-encrusted tutu, a beacon of individuality and love. And you know what? As much as I loved the glamour of the tea parties and the romance of the grand houses, it was the everyday beauty that really enchanted me. It was those little moments, seeing families enjoying picnics in the park, hearing laughter spilling out of a pub, feeling the sunshine on my face as I strolled past the beautiful houses.
