I'm absolutely buzzing about this trip! Bridlington has this quintessential seaside vibe that calls out to my inner child. Think fish and chips by the beach, vintage arcades, and the promise of a proper day at the seaside. I'm packing my best sailor-inspired outfit and I can't wait to hit those crazy seaside shops with their candy-coloured knick-knacks and oversized souvenirs. I can already imagine a delightful collection of seagulls and beach-themed jewellery filling up my bags!
Oh, and did I mention Iāll be performing in Bridlington? Itās going to be absolutely sensational, a proper Pink Tutu Sparkles spectacle that will bring the house down!
Now, before we dive into all the Bridlington shenanigans, let me tell you how this magnificent journey came to be. Itās been quite the adventure so far! It all started in my humble Derbyshire abode (well, it's more of a comfy little lab where I'm working on some thrilling fabric testingā¦shh, itās a secret!). Anyway, my little pink tutu heart couldnāt resist the allure of the open road and a new stage to shine. This time, itās Bridlington!
The thing about being Pink Tutu Sparkles is, you can never just sit around! There's a constant buzz in my soul, a deep need to dance and spread the joy of the pink tutu far and wide! So I did what I always do: reached out to some fab venue managers, told them about the wonder of Pink Tutu Sparkles, and bam, I was booked in for a sizzling performance! Honestly, itās the greatest feeling in the world when that little bit of Pink Tutu magic ignites the whole town. I feel like I'm bringing the spirit of sparkle and joy wherever I go.
This trip, though, was especially exciting! Remember my trip to Edinburgh, with all the vintage shops and the stunning castles? Iāve got a real soft spot for historic towns, especially when theyāve got the prettiest architecture, cobblestone streets, and the sweet smell of salt in the air. Bridlington definitely ticks all those boxes! So this trip will definitely be one for the memory books, filled with colourful memories of bustling beaches, charming locals, and (of course!) an unforgettable Pink Tutu Sparkles show!
But first, a travel story! As much as I love travelling by train (and the fancy tea trolleys they come with), this trip called for a little adventure. I mean, who can resist a day riding through the English countryside? So, guess what I did? I boarded a carriage and journeyed by horse! I know, right?! I was wearing a blush-pink silk riding jacket with a magnificent floral corsage, the sun was shining through the leaves, and I had this perfect feeling of escape and utter glee! It was magical. The whole ride was such a delight! And when I tell you my dress caught the wind in such a spectacular fashion, I truly mean it! I looked like a magical creature straight out of a fairtale. It was incredible!
Anyway, back to Bridlington! Youāre gonna love hearing about the fantastic seafood we sampled. Oh, I also tried out the famous seaside sweets, but those are best described as āsweet surpriseā - let's just say Iām not sure what exactly I ate, but it was delightful, whatever it was. I even scored some delightful seaside trinkets for my little pink tutu shrine. You know, the place where I keep all my fabulous tutu treasures: the fluffy ones, the shiny ones, the ones covered in sequins and feathers, you name it! Each tutu represents a special moment in my life, and collecting them gives me so much joy.
Of course, I canāt forget the people! The most wonderful people I met at the harbour were this lovely family selling homemade crafts. Their beautiful embroidery had a touch of Pink Tutu sparkle about it, so we exchanged stories and laughed the afternoon away. Honestly, these small moments of connection with kind-hearted people make me realize that our planet really is full of sunshine, especially when youāre spreading love in a fabulous pink tutu!
Bridlington itself was truly inspiring. The little town feels like a pocket of time. I strolled down the vibrant seafront, marvelled at the historical architecture, and enjoyed the sights and sounds of happy families on holiday. They remind me of the time I spent on my favourite seaside adventures when I was just a wee child. My inner-child even snuck in a game of seaside penny arcade and got stuck in the giant claw machine trying to snag a stuffed mermaid! Needless to say, my inner child had the best time ever!
