Abingdon! Oh, darling, what a treat! This charming town stole my heart with its quaint cobbled streets, beautiful river views and a delightful dose of history! I simply adore the quaint charm of historic English towns. Just me and my trusty pink tutu, ready to explore every inch of this adorable town!
Tutu Time!
You know me, love! I simply can't resist a tutu opportunity. Thankfully, Abingdon had just the thing - a gorgeous little vintage shop tucked away in a quiet corner. I spotted the most exquisite lavender tutu – oh, it was just divine! I snatched it up instantly! And darling, this little number was just meant to be on a river boat. 🛥️
After a glorious stroll along the Thames, admiring the swans, ducks and, of course, the stunning views, I decided a delightful picnic was in order. Sandwiches and crisps, of course, because, well, you know me - a Pink Tutu Sparkle needs fuel to keep on shining! What could be more charming than a riverbank picnic with a side of pink tutu glamour?
A Glimpse of the Past!
Being a true Pink Tutu Sparkles aficionado, my trip couldn't have been complete without a visit to Abingdon's captivating museum. It was full of history and treasures – think ancient Roman artifacts, fascinating local history and even a stunning collection of pottery! Now, darling, let's be honest, most of the museum's contents weren’t as bright or beautiful as my pink tutu! 😉 But still, it was a real treat to see this charming little town's history on display.
Ballet Bliss!
Abingdon is absolutely brimming with artistic treasures, darlings. They had a fabulous ballet class at a gorgeous little studio in the heart of town. Let's just say, I was positively smitten with their teacher! I felt the grace and poise coursing through me, thanks to a dazzling session of twirls and leaps! Oh, I do love my ballet, it’s just so glamorous, darling!
Train Travel - A Tutu-tastic Ride!
You know I love the scenic magic of a good train journey, and the trip to Abingdon was simply delightful! Imagine: me in a fabulous pink tutu, strolling along the train platform, feeling every ounce of this adorable town's charm in the air! Now, darlings, I won’t tell you about the gentleman in the hat staring at my tutu - just imagine the sheer fabulousness! Oh, you can’t get more glamorous than a Pink Tutu Sparkle on a train journey!
My Big Tip!
This is the tip I live by - always bring your trusty Pink Tutu Sparkle notepad to your trips, darling! A good old fashioned pen and notepad helps me capture all the gorgeous inspirations I encounter on my travels! Abingdon's vintage shops and cute little cafes filled my notebook with ideas – you know, for fabulous tutus, sassy new dance moves and of course, some dazzling make-up ideas for the stage!
