Hello darlings! It’s your favourite pink-tutu-wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, checking in from the bustling streets of Didcot! Ooh, my loves, let me tell you, this place is just bursting with energy! I’ve had the most glorious time exploring all its nooks and crannies, and trust me, I’ve seen more tutus than you can shake a feather boa at!
So, you all know the drill by now – Pink Tutu on the move means one thing and one thing only: Adventures! And my adventures always begin with a jaunty twirl, especially when I'm rocking my new fuchsia feather boa (don’t worry, I got a great deal in a lovely vintage shop on my way through London!).
Let me rewind a little: My journey to Didcot began with a most delightful train ride from Derby, where I spent the day being my usual glamorous self in a quaint vintage shop. Oh, you wouldn’t believe the vintage gems I found – a perfect teal sequin top, some lovely lace gloves (oh so much better than those plastic, itchy ones they make now!), and some sparkly pink flats – so perfect for dancing the night away! After that fabulous shopping spree, it was time to board the train and make my way towards the sparkling metropolis of Didcot!
Now, Didcot might not be known for its glamour, but you know me - Pink Tutu can find sparkle anywhere! I landed at the charming little station – all floral arrangements and quaint tea shops – and knew right away it was going to be an extraordinary experience! The Didcot folk welcomed me with open arms and the most infectious enthusiasm, all eager to see me shine!
Didcot’s magic was truly unveiled during a breathtaking ballet performance. Now, darling, you know I am a die-hard fan of all things twirling and graceful, so this was a total dream! I was absolutely mesmerised! Those dancers had me tapping my feet in the aisles, and let me tell you, my glitter platform heels were making quite the statement!
And talking about making statements... Didcot seemed determined to add to my ever-growing tutu collection. Let's just say there's been an exciting influx of pinks and glitters into my life this weekend. Imagine my delight when I discovered a vintage tutu shop, crammed with tulle heaven! Oh, the possibilities! It's like a dream come true – imagine the incredible pink-tutu looks I can concoct from all these vintage treasures! I must have tried on at least 15 in those few glorious hours - every single one a shimmering vision! It’s like stepping into a tutu paradise!
It was all so beautiful, I actually spent a lovely couple of hours just gazing at the colours, the materials, the styles - a tutu lover’s haven! They had tutus from every era, but you know my favourites – classic, pink tulle, of course! You just can’t go wrong with those! They were truly timeless beauties, and trust me, they had so much personality!
The sheer joy I felt made it hard to say goodbye, but it’s onwards to new adventures for yours truly, Pink Tutu Sparkles! This week, I’m performing at a fair in Salisbury. It’s a truly magical experience! Just me, a mic, some serious glitz and glam, and lots of amazing people who appreciate all things sparkly and pink! I can’t wait to spread my pink-tutu magic and bring a little bit of glitter to their lives!
Before I go, I wanted to share some thoughts on my journey. I love how travelling opens your heart and mind to new experiences. It’s all about seeing the world in a whole new light – a light, I may add, that usually features pink hues and a whole lotta sparkle!
