Ecclesfield: Pink Tutu Sparkle’s 5,632nd Post!

Oh darlings! It’s your favourite pink tutu queen here, Pink Tutu Sparkle! Today I’m bringing you the dazzling details of my recent trip to the absolutely charming town of Ecclesfield, right here in my lovely county of Yorkshire. Now, as some of you fabulous followers might know, I'm absolutely obsessed with travelling – exploring new places, taking in the sights, the sounds, the… erm… smells of it all, you know? But for me, travelling is SO much more than just getting from A to B. It’s about soaking up the local flavour, finding those little hidden gems, and spreading a bit of pink tutu magic wherever I go. And Ecclesfield did not disappoint, let me tell you!

So, you see, I got the opportunity to perform at the Ecclesfield Flower and Garden Show, which, of course, was just utterly divine. I love getting the chance to bring my drag magic to fairs and festivals. They’re just such vibrant places where people are so open and receptive to the pink tutu love. My setlist included all my usual crowd-pleasing hits, with a special Ecclesfield medley thrown in for good measure. And speaking of good measure, my outfit for the occasion was a spectacular vision in bubblegum pink! Think swirling layers of tulle, sequins galore, a gigantic pink feather boa, and the biggest, most magnificent pink crown I could find! Oh darling, I was a walking, talking pink fairytale come to life!

After the show, I took some time to browse the stalls, where I found some exquisite pink and white carnations that were just calling out to be taken home! They've taken pride of place on my dressing table and now they're looking quite fabulous with all my other sparkly things! There was also a little handmade shop selling gorgeous things for the home, where I found the perfect miniature pink flamingo teapot – I swear, the Universe just seems to throw these delightful things at me!

For this trip, I decided to go with a little less glamorous transportation method (than a diamond-encrusted, tutu-shaped carriage). Instead, I took the scenic train route to Ecclesfield. And what a journey it was! From my plush velvet armchair on the train (yes, it was a rather luxurious, vintage compartment), I enjoyed the beautiful rolling Yorkshire hills, the charming farmhouses, and even a few adorable fluffy lambs frolicking in the fields! Honestly, I think they’d have been thrilled with a bit of pink tulle, but I don’t like to scare the sheep.

Now, my dear readers, you know I’m a woman who adores a good shopping spree. And so, after a very long and relaxing afternoon in the tranquil Ecclesfield park (I did some people-watching, enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, and admired all the beautiful flowers… and the birds who kept dropping feathers into my sparkling pink tutu… so frustrating, lol!), it was time to visit Ecclesfield’s hidden gem - The Silk Mill!

Honestly, it's such a delightful place, full of antique furniture, unique clothing boutiques, and vintage curios, and you know I simply adore digging around for sparkly, shiny things that remind me of pink tutus! It was there that I found the most gorgeous vintage handbag – made from a pastel pink velvet and adorned with tiny pink crystals. It was a complete find, darling, a true reflection of my fabulous style, and an absolute must-have! It’s practically begging to be filled with a sparkly little pink compact and a lipstick to match!

So, to conclude, Ecclesfield turned out to be the perfect blend of charming town life, vibrant energy, and picturesque scenery, all beautifully sprinkled with that delightful touch of whimsy that I so dearly adore. Now, dear readers, this has got to be the perfect inspiration for you all to - I'm putting my foot down on this! - put on your favourite pink tutu, find some fellow Tutu-Queens, and embrace your inner fabulousness. Whether it’s a weekend trip to Ecclesfield, a spontaneous visit to the park, or a picnic under a cherry blossom tree, you can be a little pink sparkle queen in your own life!

Remember, darlings, the world is your stage. Don’t be afraid to strut your stuff, to embrace the pink, and to let your true pink tutu heart shine. Stay sparkly, stay glamorous, and stay… PINK!

Love,

Pink Tutu Sparkle
