#TutuQueen on 2015-07-11 stars in Upminster

Oh my darlings, did you miss me? I’m back, and I’m just bursting with pinkness to share with you!

Remember those old travel brochures? You know the ones, all glossy with happy families and endless sunny beaches? They’re just a shadow compared to my adventures! And guess what? Upminster, dear Upminster, is officially my newest muse. This town has everything a TutuQueen could ask for. Let’s just say that after today, Upminster will be officially known as The Pinkest Place on Earth. * Wink *

I journeyed to this pink paradise on the back of a trusty steed. You see, darling, sometimes the train just isn't romantic enough, you know? So, a carriage ride it was. Imagine, me, in my fabulous fuchsia frock and cerise cape, looking utterly divine, perched gracefully atop a majestic steed. Oh, the thrill! I swear, everyone must have stopped to stare. This, darlings, is what they call ‘living the dream’.

But enough about me. Let’s delve into this dazzling little town. First, we have a simply stunning, I'm-dying-to-wear-that-tutu dance studio. Imagine a sanctuary of twirls, plies and pirouettes, all set within the softest hues of pink (my personal favorite, you see) and lavender. Dreamy sigh. This, my lovelies, was not just any dance studio, oh no! It was filled with delightful students, both little darlings and young aspiring ballerinas.

Well, needless to say, a pink-loving TutuQueen cannot just stand by and watch. I, of course, whipped out my most majestic pink tulle skirt, that magnificent ballgown of pink and peachy glory that's almost sentient from how many times I've twirled in it. Oh darling, the giggles I heard as the young ones copied my every move! We'll just say the air was alive with the spirit of ballet!

Next, my darling darlings, came the most beautiful surprise. A pink bakery! Don’t faint now, but it's the cutest, pinkest, fluffiest, most delightful bakery ever. Every creation, from the dainty cupcakes to the extravagant wedding cakes, were dusted with a sprinkle of pink magic. You just couldn't walk away without a box of these treats, or five! And oh, darling, the macarons! Pink macarons with sprinkles! And lemon meringue tarts! With edible pink flowers! And, my absolute favorite, cupcakes topped with an abundance of pink buttercream and glitter, making them sparkly and fabulous. Truly the Pinkest Place on Earth!

We’ll finish this delightful escapade in the charming town square. Imagine a bustling marketplace full of colourful stalls overflowing with everything from local cheeses and artisan bread, to vintage jewelry and beautiful hand-crafted clothes. I snagged myself a few gorgeous little treasures - a sparkling pink charm for my wristlet, a fluffy, soft, pink fluffy scarf for a cool day, and the prettiest pair of pink and purple feather earrings to go with my bright pink and lavender dress (which I wore that evening with a black tulle tutu, of course!)

This was no ordinary outing! It was a dance of delicious treats, ballet lessons and a pink fairy tale experience all rolled into one! Dance Studio Let's take it a bit deeper into this dream dance studio! I imagined the ballet school had been established for years, with photos of graduates dancing in prestigious productions and students in glittering leotards practicing outside for passers-by. Perhaps we have the aroma of lavender and cinnamon as a hint of this classic environment?

"Oh, this studio, darling! A haven of grace and artistry. I swear, it had this lingering aroma of lavender and cinnamon, making it smell heavenly! On the walls, framed photos of smiling graduates performing on stages adorned with glitzy curtains. You could tell these girls were living their dreams. Then, in the middle of the room, young ones practiced with energy! It's almost as though the dance studio is radiating pure joy - even a tiny bunny pink tutu couldn't contain itself, bouncing around with every plier."

Bakery How can we take the bakery even further?

"And the bakery, darling! swoon Every pink frosted pastry made my heart skip a beat. The owner, a delightful lady with the kindest smile and a hairdo of perfect silver curls, told me about their award-winning ‘Pink Cloud Cake.’ It had pink frosting made with raspberries and topped with sugared roses and mini pink hearts. Oh darling! I nearly fainted! I ordered it and brought a slice back to my little hideaway to savor for breakfast! I even picked up one of those little pink bunny cake toppers for my cake! For those of you who don't know, those bunnies are the BEST. Everyone should have one - they can even wear little pink tutus!"

Town Square And the charming market, we can enhance it with details too:

"I couldn't leave without browsing the market. Imagine, darling! There were stalls spilling with local delights - smoked salmon glistening under glass, creamy cheesecakes with blueberry swirls, artisan breads adorned with delicate sunflowers. Oh, I swear, the smells just filled the air, making your tummy happy. There was even a stall brimming with pink! I bought myself the cutest knitted pink and white scarf from a little old lady who spoke fondly of the good old days! Now darling, that scarf, is a perfect addition to my tutu wardrobe! Pink and white and absolutely gorgeous!"

Imagine Pink Tutu Sparkles, our beloved Queen of Pink Tutus, isn't just visiting Upminster, but lives there! Perhaps she became enchanted by this town during her adventures, perhaps she discovered that her soul longed for a quieter life. She found her true calling as a baker - yes, a Pink Baker! Now, imagine Pink Tutu Sparkles working her pink magic on her cupcake decorating in a gorgeous pink and lavender themed bakery! Perhaps it is on the back of the most beautiful horse (with a pink-saddle) in Derbyshire, that she finds the perfect bakery for rent, nestled among beautiful pink-hued cottages.

Now, how about this twist: Alex works a day job as a textile chemist, then changes into Pink Tutu Sparkles the Baker and opens her bakery. Every single baked treat is beautifully decorated with an abundance of pink sprinkles and edible flowers. Her passion, naturally, is baking the most magnificent ‘Pink Cloud Cakes.’ They have become famous, darling, a signature delicacy, all around Derbyshire! Every slice is lovingly decorated with little pink bunny cake toppers and miniature cupcakes, each one topped with a perfect swirl of pale pink frosting.

Of course, darling, she has a regular ‘Pink Tutu Dance’ lesson every Tuesday in the afternoon at the local ballet studio. (And, just so you know, her favorite tutu for this particular ballet class is an emerald green tutu with a layer of glittery pink netting. And, it always goes perfectly with her baby pink pumps! You see, a girl can’t just stick to pink all the time, she has to dabble in the rest of the color rainbow, but make sure all the colors go together!) On the weekend, you’ll see her in a magnificent gown at a drag performance, her signature pink tutus, oh darling! It’s such an absolute love of all things pink !
