This is post number 5781, darlings, and today's adventures are taking me right into the heart of Feltham! My trusty steed - I'm talking about the 17.15 train, of course, not a horse – is bringing me to a gorgeous new venue in town. Honestly, I just love taking the train, It gives me so much time to look at everyone and enjoy their outfits.
And what did I have on for the journey? Well, let’s just say a Pink Tutu Sparkles is never out of character, my darlings! This time it was a shimmering coral number, complete with feathers! 💖 I mean, darling, if you’re going to be travelling on public transport, why not add a little sparkle to the proceedings? 😉 And just in case you missed my dazzling attire on Instagram (make sure you’re following @PinkTutuSparkles for all the latest snaps!), let me tell you about the day!
My love affair with tutus started while I was still in Derbyshire. Yes, you heard right – Derbyshire, my lovelies, not exactly the first place you'd associate with tutus! 😂
You see, I was a budding scientist at the time – yeah, I know, a pink tutu-loving scientist – but that’s the thing about Pink Tutu Sparkles: you never know what you’re going to get! 😉
Back then, my drag life was all about exploring who I was, and let’s face it, that pink tutu just unlocked something within me! There I was, surrounded by beakers and Bunsen burners, and suddenly I felt the pull of the stage, the glitter, the music, the excitement, and the most gorgeous, floaty pink tulle. 💖 It was while I was raising money for charity in university (I’m so good at my day job, my darlings!) that I had the amazing opportunity to wear a tutu for a performance. From that moment on, it was a complete and utter game-changer.
Oh, and talking about the daytime… that’s my “science life” where I work in a lab testing fabrics for the clothing industry. Did you know the right fabrics are key to a great tutu? I might even work on fabric for some of your favourite dresses! 😉 But by night, my lovelies, well, that’s when Pink Tutu Sparkles takes centre stage.
I fund all these fantastic journeys through performing at venues and festivals like the one in Feltham. This one is at The [Name of Feltham Venue], and I’ve heard wonderful things about it. Honestly, anything I can do to get everyone involved, to join the pink tutu revolution, I'm in. Let’s spread the joy, the glitz, the glam, and of course, the love! 💖
Today's performance is going to be all about the ballet, darling! I just adore going to the ballet, the sheer elegance, the strength and control, the dedication of these amazing dancers, I’m utterly captivated! There’s even a local ballet class in Feltham that I’m hoping to join up with. Imagine, a bunch of tutu queens dancing in unison, sharing our love for all things pink, a true vision if I do say so myself! 💖
