Helloooo, darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to shimmy and shake you into a glorious day with blog post number 5783! It’s Friday, and that means it’s time for me to unleash the sparkle and shimmer, because you know what, this week has been fabulous, even with the weather starting to get a bit chilly, that Autumn chill is upon us, but darling, my pink tutu and I can handle it. We are strong and resilient, just like you!
And oh, you are in for a treat today, as my Tutu Adventures are taking me to the beautiful historic city of Rochester! The birthplace of Charles Dickens and famed for its picturesque cobbled streets and magnificent cathedral, but you already knew that! I know everything, darling, it's part of the magic! Anyway, it is time to put on my best pink shoes and matching tutu and get ready to spread a little pink sparkle wherever I go!
You know me and my love of a good ballet performance and this trip was extra special, because not only did I catch the Royal Ballet performing 'The Nutcracker' in the stunning surroundings of Rochester's historic theatre, but I also spent the day exploring the town, getting my tutu twirls on in the public square and sampling all the delicious delights of the local markets, yum! But of course, I wasn't alone, because darling, no trip is complete without my beloved fluffy, pink, loyal travel companion, "Fluffy." My trusty four-legged equine friend, who patiently waits outside the theatres while I bring down the house with my performances! It wouldn't be possible without him, darling! Fluffy and I, we travel the length and breadth of the country on horseback or by train, and when I say "travel," I mean making my mark in the world, you see, by spreading that joy and magic with my tutus and performances! We’ve become quite a sight, haven't we, dear readers? Pink Tutu Sparkles in all her glory with Fluffy trotting alongside, a pink puff of fur, a furry whirlwind of cuteness. It is a spectacle!
So, where to begin with my trip to Rochester? Let me tell you, this town is overflowing with charm and culture! The theatre was truly spectacular! I’m a firm believer in that the only thing that looks good with pink is pink, darling! I mean, pink tulle and sparkling embellishments, right? But on this special day, I opted for my signature black sequin dress! Oh! It twirled magnificently in the warm light of the theatre! I paired it with a vibrant hot pink cape. Not too much, right? Oh my dear readers, if there's one thing I've learned about pink it's: More is MORE, and never enough, but also a touch of black adds a level of chic that brings that 'wow' factor and stops people in their tracks! My readers, my readers! You need to hear how everyone at the theatre gasped when they saw me walk in.
Oh darling, "The Nutcracker" is truly an enchanting piece! My eyes were fixed on the dancing feet, every arabesque, every piqué, oh, I tell you it’s just magnificent! My toes were tapping, and you know I might even have given my signature twirl on my own during the intermission - well, we're all about celebration here, dear readers! And speaking of celebration, I even found a charming tea shop that specialized in the finest English scones, topped with lashings of clotted cream, yum yum! Of course, I made sure my teacup matched my outfit, pink is always the answer! You can never have enough pink, or cream or sparkles! This, my friends, is how you celebrate culture, by bringing a bit of yourself, of your own, into every event you grace. Don't you agree, darlings? The beauty of performing at theatres and fairs is that people see you come to life, they see how a person with passion can inspire so much and it all comes together like magic! Darling, the pinker the better! Think pink and nothing but pink! Think feathers and fluffy frills, and don’t you dare forget to accessorise. Just embrace every facet of that sparkling fabulous you, be a flamingo of confidence and let those gorgeous pink outfits bring out the beautiful woman, no, let's be honest darling, make-over! Oh darling! Who said make-up has to be dull? And, darling, never be afraid to have a bit of fun, embrace the sparkles and the frills, put on your best pink tutu and strut your stuff, oh darlings, if that's not magic, then I don't know what is! Events Diary:
November 1st – My dearest darlings, it is with a joyful heart that I announce that Fluffy and I are performing in Nottingham, at the ‘Love You’ event! And yes, you are correct my darlings, it is not called “Love Pink” – oh no! There is still a whole lot of pink involved! It is at the City Arts Centre and it’s an event about everything wonderful – friendship, beauty, laughter, kindness, oh and love. It starts at 6.30 pm. You don't want to miss out, darlings. November 8th– It's Leeds baby! The first weekend of November will be at a fab theatre in Leeds for the 'A World of Hope and Happiness', so come along and celebrate. I'm in the city at 5.30 p.m. to share the fun and the pink.
November 15th– Now for something extra special, we have the 'Pink-tastic Christmas Parade', taking to the streets of Brighton! You already know that Pink Tutu Sparkles and Fluffy are a team! We'll be celebrating all things festive and we’ll be wearing a sparkling white outfit and matching white tutu with silver stars! Oh my goodness, can you believe how dazzling we are! Just think of how much pink there is, you'll be covered head to toe in a shimmering glow! I cannot wait to get into the festive spirit, and there's nothing quite as joyful as a sparkly pink parade in Brighton on a sunny day.
