Acton A-Go-Go! Pink Tutu Sparkles Brings the Glitter to the Suburbs 🩰💖

Hello darlings, and welcome back to Pink-Tutu.com! It’s your favourite drag queen blogger, Pink Tutu Sparkles, bringing you all the fabulousness, fun and frolics straight from my diary - and this time I’m getting off the train and into Acton! That’s right, this week's adventure is in the heart of the West London suburbs. This fabulous pink tutu-wearing queen ain’t afraid to take her sparkles out of the city - the world's my oyster, darling!

And this blog post is numero 5785! I'm telling you, this website is buzzing with fabulosity. Who would have thought, just a few years ago I was stuck in a lab, surrounded by beakers and test tubes. Yes, by day I’m a bona fide scientist, a lab rat amongst the lab rats, analysing fabrics and chemicals. And who'd have thought, little old Alex (that's my 'day' name) from Derbyshire, would one day be Pink Tutu Sparkles, wearing more glitter than the whole cast of Pantomime? It all happened so fast, I tell you, ever since I joined the university ballet club and popped on a tutu for a charity fundraiser! I was hooked! Then it was all about the ballet shoes, the hairspray, the makeup - I discovered the joy of costumes and 'voila!' the drag queen was born!

Since then, I’ve been gracing stages and spreading the joy of pink tutus far and wide, from Brighton to Bath, with the occasional stop off at the theatre, at a show, or at a fancy dress fair or two - you can always count on me to show up in the most dazzling, extravagant and outrageous tutu - it's my signature style and, dare I say, it's caught on a little! Oh, and a good, sparkly tutu definitely gets you a smile. Don't be afraid to be bold and fabulous, darlings.

Back to Acton! Now, Acton, well it wasn't all that exciting, truth be told, but hey, there's beauty to be found in every corner of the globe. Even in Acton, you'll be surprised by what you might find - a hidden gem in a garden centre, a delightful pub where you can hear your own thoughts for once, or an amazing vintage shop brimming with unique fashion finds! I found a fab vintage store selling tutus! My fabulous sparkly pink tutu is a great conversation starter - you’d be amazed at the number of people who tell me their stories about tutus! You can be sure I bought two of those tutus and I can't wait to wear them on my next adventure.

Of course, no journey is complete without some good food and good conversation. So, after a day of shopping and sightseeing in Acton, I treated myself to a delectable picnic by the Thames. I find that's where I get the best inspiration for my blog posts! I pack up a basket with sandwiches, cheese, cucumber, some dainty sandwiches - the works! The English countryside, with a side order of Pink Tutu Sparkles - there's not a more wonderful, charming, delightful image to be found anywhere in the world!

Now, for my next blog post I need to make up my mind about where to go... shall it be Brighton again for a weekend? Maybe York for the Minster? Or maybe I'll stay close to home and pop up at the local garden centre? Watch this space! If you'd like me to visit your town or city, just give me a shout! Pink Tutu Sparkles loves to travel and meet new people. Remember, darling, it's never too late to wear a tutu!

Stay sparkly, stay fabulous and, most importantly, stay true to yourselves.

Lots of love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles xx
