Oh my darlings! Get ready for a pink-tastic adventure because your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles is hitting the road! Itās been a whirlwind of sequins and tutus since my last post, but now I'm ready to share all the glitz and glam with you lovely lot. This time, it's Bangor thatās beckoning. This lovely seaside town is ready for a little bit of Pink Tutu magic, and I'm bringing all the sparkles with me!
Itās been a bit of a dash since my last gig. I just wrapped up a weekend of fun at the Cotswold Fair, making my usual appearances in the flower show competition and even doing a quickie set at the pub (turns out everyone loves a bit of Pink Tutu magic, even on a Tuesday!). So, of course, I'm practically vibrating with excitement to bring a bit of sparkle to this new adventure!
Now, getting to Bangor is half the fun, wouldn't you agree? Forget stuffy planes, Iām taking the scenic route! My trusty horse-drawn carriage awaits, ready to transport me and my giant pink feather boa to the North!
But honestly, letās get down to the real excitement: My costume! You wouldnāt believe the treasures I discovered in a little boutique just outside Sheffield. A brand new, fluffy tutu in the most fabulous shade of flamingo pink with iridescent glitter that'll catch your eye from a mile away! (Imagine: me twirling across the stage and my tutu literally sparkling... you can see why I was speechless!). I'm pairing it with my vintage sequined jacket ā a complete steal from a charity shop back in my hometown in Derbyshire ā and let's just say, the whole look is pure, unabashed girly perfection. And of course, the final touch? A head-to-toe pink ensemble that'll leave the whole audience in a rosy-cheeked haze of delight!
Speaking of delight, can we talk about this weekend's show in Bangor? My lovely promoters promised a packed house of lovely folks ready to witness a whole new level of Pink Tutu glamour. And let me tell you, theyāre not kidding. Iām talking glitter-infused champagne, balloons shaped like hearts (I mean, who doesn't love a bit of balloon artistry!), and enough pink frosting to make your wildest dreams come true. Thereās even a special surprise Iām planning with a local dance troupe ā the details are hush hush until showtime but letās just say they'll be gracing the stage with me in their own, unique style!

Monday: Science & Sparkles
By day, Iām back in the lab, working my magic on those lab coats. Yes, you read that right. The life of Pink Tutu Sparkles involves a lot more than sequins and smiles ā it also involves microscopic examination of fabrics! Itās my secret superpower, and who better to judge the wear and tear of a fluffy pink tutu than a trained textile scientist?! But don't worry, after the lab, it's time to crank up the music, don the glitter, and embrace the magic that comes with every sequin-laden costume!
Tuesday: Glam on the Go
Today, it's train time! (Yes, Iām going glamorously eco-friendly.) And wouldnāt you know, a charming gentleman asked if I was going to the Bangor Ballet Festival ā a stroke of luck! It turned out to be a real highlight. There I was, sitting in my comfy first-class seat, sipping my Earl Grey (of course, in a perfectly pink mug!) and gazing out the window as the rolling hills of the English countryside flew by, and my heart already filled with excitement for what awaits me in Bangor!
Wednesday: Rehearsals & Runway Fun
Arriving in Bangor, I took some time to wander the enchanting streets of this beautiful seaside town. It truly feels like stepping into a fairytale with its colourful houses and the smell of fresh sea air in the air! I even popped into a local boutique, which happened to have the cutest little tutus. I simply had to snap up a pair for the local dancers - because who doesnāt love a bit of pink in their lives, right? After my shopping spree, I got to rehearse with the local dancers for tonight's show. Letās just say theyāve got some seriously impressive moves, and I can't wait to share the stage with them!
Thursday: Show Time!
And the big day is here, darlings! The excitement is truly electric. Iāve spent hours making sure everything is just perfect: my hair is looking luscious, my makeup is flawless (those pink eyelids though! Just a dream!), and of course, the Tutu-tastic pink dress, which feels like a second skin. I am practically radiating with joy! My first look is a whirlwind of a performance, with sparkles raining down on the audience and my new feathered headpiece catching the lights like a thousand fireflies! Weāve had the audience howling with laughter, their faces radiating joy as we perform a specially crafted "Bangor Boogieā that would make even Fred Astaire blush with envy. Then, itās time for the āPink Tutu Sparkleā fashion showcase, featuring a dizzying array of sparkly outfits, with the local dance crew making their debut! We all take to the stage in our most stunning pink tutus (including my latest finds!), turning the performance space into a wonderland of shimmering fabrics and sparkling smiles.
Friday: Farewell Bangorā¦ Until next time!
The weekend's been a whirlwind of excitement and, most importantly, pink joy! After a final goodbye with my delightful new friends from the local dance group (seriously, a real bunch of diamonds!) we've spent a lovely few hours enjoying the fabulous fresh seafood at the famous Bangor waterfront. My trip's been full of fun and surprises, just what you would expect from a Pink Tutu adventure. Bangor, youāve stolen my heart!
