Well, hello my darlings! Your Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and guess what? This Pink Tutu Sparkles is in Lancaster! The journey was oh, so fabulous, as usual. This time, I travelled in style on the train. It was a smooth journey, a touch of old-fashioned elegance with the train carriages all wooden panelled and plush with comfy seats. And of course, a Pink Tutu Sparkles never travels without a flamboyant touch, so my suitcase was filled with sequins, shimmering pink feathers, and, yes you guessed it, tutus, glorious pink tutus. They are my weapon of choice, you see, and it seems I can't resist the lure of a good tutu shopping spree.

I even managed to get in a little ballet practice en route! It’s amazing how much a few pirouettes and some jetés can uplift the soul!

Speaking of uplifting souls, Lancaster, you've really got to be one of the loveliest places on earth. It's steeped in history, with those majestic castles, the cobblestone streets and beautiful architecture. Oh, and did I mention the fabulous vintage clothes shops? I found a beautiful pink feather boa that I'll be wearing on stage tonight - it’s simply exquisite! It's a wonder they let me leave the shop!

Of course, as Pink Tutu Sparkles, a tutu wearing queen with a mission to bring the sparkle and the joy of the pink tutu to the world, my adventures have taken me to all sorts of magical places. From the bustle of Covent Garden in London to the serenity of a lakeside village in the Lake District, I’ve made sure to bring a touch of fabulous wherever I go! I mean, let’s be honest, how can a place be truly magnificent without a few tutus?

You might be wondering, how did Pink Tutu Sparkles come to be? Well, the story goes a little like this. In my former life, as Alex (though I do like to think that Alex was always within me, just waiting for her time to shine!), I was a young lady working as a textile scientist, testing the durability of fabrics in a laboratory in Derbyshire, the Peak District. It sounds mundane, doesn’t it? But there was a secret, an alter-ego bubbling away beneath the lab coat – and it was a passionate love for dance and the art of drag! I found myself joining the University’s ballet club while I was studying, and it was at a university charity fundraiser where it all clicked!

“Try this tutu on,” my friends urged, and suddenly it all made sense. I knew that this, this was it. This was where my heart belonged. The vibrant pink tutu felt like a second skin; it was like putting on an armour of pure joy, radiating with that fabulousness that’s always been part of me!

That moment, as I stood there with that fluffy, pink creation wrapped around my body, I knew, Pink Tutu Sparkles was born. And from then on, well, there was no looking back!

You see, darling, I am a passionate evangelist for all things pink and all things tutu. Pink Tutu Sparkles is dedicated to the mission of spreading joy and a touch of the fantastical to the world! Whether it’s strutting my stuff on a grand stage in London, wowing audiences in a vibrant carnival procession in Edinburgh or just bringing a smile to someone’s face in the street with a sassy wave, it’s all about sharing the love of a bit of theatricality and bringing a little sparkle to someone’s day!

My stage shows, now these are real crowd-pleasers! I always incorporate a mix of ballet movements into my performances – it's like a dance fusion extravaganza! And oh, those tutus - from ethereal pink chiffon tutus to flamboyant sequined masterpieces - they add the magic to every single step. The whole experience, I tell you, is sheer, utter brilliance.

I’m here to prove to you that you can achieve anything you set your mind to, darling. It’s not about a perfect life, it’s about creating one you love, filled with fabulous outfits, breathtaking shows, and moments of pure joy. It’s about embracing the wonderful person you are, finding your passion and shining bright.

Of course, I get a little inspiration from some amazing drag artists - the pioneers who showed us it's ok to be dazzling and utterly fabulous! And let’s not forget those classic ballets - the stories, the choreography, and the artistry are beyond compare, it's all just so utterly magical. It all inspires me. It pushes me to be bolder and braver with my art.

So, what’s next for your Pink Tutu Sparkles, I hear you ask? Well, after my magical stay in Lancaster, I’m going to hit the road - literally, this time I’m going by horse! It’s a long, lovely, horse riding trip through the rolling Derbyshire hills, I have my tutu suitcase strapped to my saddle of course. There’s just something so incredibly liberating about being on horseback and experiencing the freedom and natural beauty that surrounds me!

I'm a woman of many talents, I can wear pink and make a tutu sing, it seems I can ride a horse too, and what’s next for a Pink Tutu Sparkles? The sky is the limit!
