Post number 5859! You know I couldn't miss Bletchley. Not just because of its famous history (who hasn't heard of the code-breaking genius of Bletchley Park, eh? - and did I mention the pink flamingoes! 💖🦩), but because this lovely little town in Buckinghamshire just screamed "pink tutu" to me!
Welcome back, darling, to my daily dose of pink tulle and fluffy delight - Pink Tutu Sparkles on the road again! 💋 As you know, my passion is to share the magic of pink tutus with the world. That's why I take my glamorous, pink tutu-clad self on fabulous jaunts all across the country - well, all across the UK, really! - in a flurry of fabulousness.
Today, my little lovelies, we're on a rail adventure, because Pink Tutu Sparkle ALWAYS loves to travel by train - something so delightful about the rhythmic chugging of the engine, and it allows for maximum glam! 😉 The dress code is definitely tres chic - you see, I like to be comfortable and prepared, in case there's a fancy tea party or, say, an impromptu ballet performance on board. And my outfit always gets me so many stares, a symphony of "Oh my!" and "How delightful!"
But I have to admit, I was slightly nervous for this journey, having packed more than my usual sparkly suitcase full of costumes - we are, after all, doing a theatrical, pink tutu extravaganza at Bletchley Town Hall. Oh yes, that's right! Pink Tutu Sparkles is taking to the stage at the lovely town hall! I was invited to put on a show for the annual 'Blooming Bletchley' festival. They do have amazing, vibrant, floral displays! They practically begged me, and honestly, who could resist that invitation?
Anyway, back to the journey. As I mentioned, Pink Tutu Sparkles was going all out with this journey. We are talking:
- Pink fluffy coat: You know, darling, you can never have too much pink fur! I absolutely love this cosy, pink masterpiece. It keeps me warm on a chilly British winter day and, I believe, embodies the ultimate in pink-tutu elegance.
- Sparkle-bombastic handbag: Filled with everything from lipstick to sequins and my emergency pair of tutu wings! Gotta be prepared, darlings!
- Sparkly tights and ballet shoes: Obviously, you can never be too well-prepared when ballet dancing, whether it be in a London performance hall or a station platform, am I right? Pink and sparkle are absolutely my top colours for any ensemble - and, as you all know, tutus can be versatile, can they not? It's not all pink all the time, even for this pink enthusiast.
- Extra special tutu: Well, this one was actually made especially for Bletchley Town Hall, just imagine a ballet dancer but pink and fabulous!
We rolled into Bletchley at around lunchtime, with time to spare for some delightful browsing in the shops. The charming little streets with quaint independent boutiques and vintage clothing shops made my little heart skip a beat! What a perfect excuse for a pitstop and a little afternoon tea.
Speaking of afternoon tea, the first stop had to be the glorious Bletchley Park tea room. We had an extravagant and luxurious afternoon tea – all those delicate finger sandwiches, beautifully presented pastries, and freshly-brewed tea! We did our utmost to enjoy it properly, though it was quite hard to sit still with all the sparkly and fun outfits surrounding me!
It was the perfect way to refuel before hitting the stage for our pink-tutu performance at Bletchley Town Hall, where the stage was beautifully set, and all my dazzling pink outfits looked spectacular under the lights! I swear the entire audience wore smiles bigger than their hats (they're wearing their fabulous floral festival hats, you know!)
Oh, did I tell you? The crowd was fantastic! Every single person, children, grandparents, teenagers, adults, the lot, and every single person, was ready to celebrate with the Pink Tutu Queen! Honestly, my dear little lovelies, they made my performance one I'll never forget - especially the little girl who dressed up in a pink tutu! There's nothing like seeing a small, tiny version of your love in an adorable little pink tutu!
And that, my darling darlings, was only the start. In Bletchley, they have a wonderful annual 'Blooming Bletchley' flower festival which turned into an enormous street party with beautiful, bright floral displays all along the main road! All this excitement naturally meant a performance. I just had to take the chance and bring some sparkle to Bletchley’s Blooming extravaganza - just another magical day with Pink Tutu Sparkle! 🌸
Now, I just need to take a moment to talk about this town's famous secret! I don’t mean their stunning park, but the historical legacy that this small, charming town holds. Bletchley Park, just outside the town, was an incredible secret war effort location during World War Two. They managed to decipher the famous Enigma codes that the German navy was using! Absolutely fascinating! It was definitely worth the visit! Did you know they have actual WWII machines there! Honestly, seeing those vintage Enigma machines just about sent this Pink Tutu Queen to another galaxy, lol! 💖
