Hello my gorgeous darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, bringing you another dazzling post from the ever-spinning world of, well, pink tutus! Today's adventure takes us to the beautiful seaside town of Whitley Bay, a place that just begs to be explored with a swish of my tulle and a dash of sparkle.
It's been a whirlwind few weeks. As always, my schedule is packed with performances, fabulous fashion finds, and just a pinch of travel chaos (but don't you worry, darling, chaos is where the fun really starts).
Speaking of chaos, my journey to Whitley Bay involved an unforgettable trip on the old steam train – oh the charm! My Tutu was strategically placed, of course, as I sat admiring the rolling countryside from my plush carriage seat, giggling at the perplexed glances of fellow passengers as my glorious pink feathers brushed against their shoulders. A few "Have a lovely day!" and "Wonderful costume!" greeted me as I stepped off, and, frankly, that’s just what a Pink Tutu Queen needs, darling!
Whitley Bay itself is a real treat. A vibrant mix of seaside charm and seaside hustle – a bit like myself! As soon as I arrived, I headed straight to the promenade to feel the salty sea breeze on my tulle, and to take in the glorious views of the beach and the majestic North Sea. You wouldn't believe the fantastic pink hues reflecting off the water! Nature truly understands a girl's need for colour.
Now, the pièce de résistance of this trip was, of course, my performance at the lovely Grand Hotel Whitley Bay! Can you believe, darlings, a grand old hotel in this picturesque seaside town? It truly is the perfect venue for a dazzling display of Pink Tutu magic.
I waltzed into the ballroom, feeling every bit the belle of the ball, ready to perform my heart out. The crowd was electric, and their faces were aglow with anticipation as I took the stage. You could almost hear a pin drop as I performed my signature routines – graceful twirls, a cheeky shimmy here and there, all capped off with a grand finale that left the audience screaming for more.
The atmosphere was truly electrifying, and for a few moments, it felt as if the world faded away, and only my sparkling pink tulle and the roaring applause were all that mattered. There was one little boy, bless his heart, he must have been about six, with his jaw dropped and wide eyes, transfixed on every single pirouette. He was so utterly captivated, he reminded me of myself the first time I ever saw a tutu… a moment I treasure to this day.
And yes, of course, the outfits! Oh, my dears, the outfits! I pulled out all the stops for this performance. My signature, custom-made pink tutu, with its multiple layers of delicate tulle, was absolutely divine! I paired it with a glittery pink crop top, a feathery pink boa (naturally!), and my sparkly pink pumps - the quintessential Pink Tutu Sparkles look, wouldn't you say?
As the night wore on, I mingled with the lovely crowd. My real name is Alex, and I find there's something so special about letting people see the real person behind the persona. Of course, no Pink Tutu outing is complete without a bit of shopping, and Whitley Bay delivered in spades.
Imagine this: A whole shop, tucked away in a charming backstreet, filled to the brim with the most adorable pastel pink tutus you could ever imagine! I went a little crazy, honestly. Pink, peach, lavender, and blush – they were all calling my name. Now I have a whole collection of new outfits ready for my next performance!
The day after my dazzling performance, I decided to take a spin around the seaside town in style. I hitched a ride with a friend, on the back of her beautiful white horse. The sun was shining, the sea air was invigorating, and my pink tulle ruffled beautifully in the wind – a sight to behold, if I say so myself! We cantered along the beach, feeling the freedom of the wind beneath our tulle. Oh, the joys of a life filled with tutus and adventures!
Before I knew it, my time in Whitley Bay was coming to an end, leaving me feeling completely invigorated and full of love. But worry not, darlings! This is just the beginning of many exciting journeys to come!
I’ve said it before, and I'll say it again, Pink Tutu Sparkles has just one goal: to bring joy, sparkle, and, of course, pink tutus to every corner of the globe! And what better place to do it than from the beautiful beaches of Whitley Bay?
