Today's post marks a little milestone: 5,897! And yes, dear readers, this little Pink Tutu queen posts every single day, bringing you the latest on fashion, frolicking, and the magic of twirling!
But back to Deal, isn't it simply the most delightful seaside town? The cobblestone streets, the picturesque houses, and the breath-taking views... well, let's just say this pink tutu's got a new place to call home (at least for a few days).
Now, a little tutuerie on the trip so far.
From the Heart of Derbyshire to the Shores of Kent
This Pink Tutu journey started in good old Derbyshire, where my trusty horse, 'Taffy', carried me down cobbled lanes until the train station, all decked out in a pink and sparkly number, naturally. This week, I've chosen a rather grand ballet-inspired pink tutu adorned with white pearl accents. The bodice, darling, the bodice! Sheer, but cinched in at the waist and dripping with sequined pink flowers. A real statement piece, wouldn't you agree?

A Day in the Life of a Scientist (and Pink Tutu Sparkles!)
By day, you can find Alex (that's my 'day' name, dear readers) working as a textile scientist, putting those lab coats to good use. I actually spent years studying, earning my science degree while being hooked on ballet and tutus – those early days at uni were such fun! You won't believe it but my whole tutu obsession began during a university fundraiser. My friends and I decided to have a fashion show for charity. Now, one of my friends was part of the ballet club, and, bless her heart, let me borrow a tutu! It was that first moment of twirling that changed my world! I knew then that a life in pink tutus was the one for me.
The Glam Begins!
By night, Alex transforms into Pink Tutu Sparkles, and let's just say that the glitter comes out, the volume gets turned up, and it's time for some serious sparkle!
Right now, we're booked at the charming Mermaid's Nest guesthouse, which, my dears, you'd swear is plucked straight from a fairytales. Pink flowers draped over white picket fences, pastel-coloured walls, and the sweetest, most delightful seaside cottage you'll ever lay eyes upon!
First Stop: Deal Castle
We've had a blast today, starting with a visit to Deal Castle. Now, I must tell you: Deal Castle is a truly fabulous and rather historical place, dear readers, dating back to Henry VIII. It boasts an impressive network of underground tunnels, cannons, and walls so high, they take your breath away. Oh, and I did not let the opportunity for a photo shoot pass by, of course! This pink tutu needed a setting worthy of its glamour, and what better backdrop than Deal Castle?
But before you gasp in shock, darling, allow me to assure you – no harm came to the castle during my performance. I did have to check my tutus for any errant cannons, you know! But alas, all's fair in the name of a photoshoot. 😉 And let's just say, the pink and the grey of the stone make such a lovely contrast, wouldn't you say?
Time for a Spot of Shopping (and Tutu Twirling!)
And because every pink tutu needs a touch of new glam, we naturally did a bit of shopping around in the heart of Deal. This is truly a town with a delightful mix of traditional and contemporary, filled with shops tucked into charming courtyards and corners. I did, of course, treat myself to a new set of ballet flats to add a touch of chic to the twirling routine. The bright fuchsia-pink ribbons were a must-have touch! We all need a little splash of colour, don't we?
The Deal Harbour's Beauty
Speaking of dazzling, did anyone catch the stunning view from Deal Pier, overlooking the harbour? I couldn't resist another photoshoot in the golden light. There I was, in my tutu, with a sea of shimmering boats around me and a gentle sea breeze caressing my cheek. What more could a Pink Tutu queen ask for, right?
Evening Indulgence: A Seaside Feast
Dinnertime was a treat! The freshest seafood, enjoyed at a cosy, quaint restaurant tucked into a side street, full of that delightful old-world charm. I just knew a pink tutu would bring good luck in a seafood restaurant, you see. A little twinkle never hurt, after all, does it?

Oh, and a word to all you darling, fashion-forward ladies: I recommend packing your most stylish bag. For your journey, it's worth the effort!
Now, onto the pièce de résistance – tomorrow's schedule. I simply must attend a ballet class. This Pink Tutu can't get enough twirling, darling. You know I must make sure my plies are sharp and those pirouettes are picture perfect, ready to shine brighter than ever in our evening performance.
