Nottingham: A Tutu-ful Trip! 💖

Hello darlings! It’s your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles here, back with you for post number 5939, fresh from the most fabulous trip to Nottingham! It's just so amazing how one city can be so different from another, but all equally brilliant in their own way. Oh my! You’ll never guess how I travelled this time! I decided to make a change from my usual trusty train, (always a favourite) and get my journey on by horseback! It was certainly a first. Don’t worry, I looked absolutely smashing, decked out in a shimmering pink tutu and sparkly saddle cover. I even found a hat with pink feathers. Fancy that! The horse wasn’t quite sure what to make of me at first but we ended up getting along wonderfully - and even shared a rather large pink lollipop. 🥰

I love being able to discover the nooks and crannies of new places. Of course, any trip has to start with some retail therapy, doesn’t it? Nottingham had some divine shops, and I managed to pick up the most perfect little pair of hot pink sequined boots - perfect for twirling. They really complemented my new pink feather boa and I just knew I had to have them! 💖

Of course, no visit to a city is complete without a little dance! This weekend I had a chance to see the most incredible ballet performance. I must confess, the costumes were so captivating that for a moment, I almost forgot all about my own tutu. (But, never worry! My pink tutu is ALWAYS my favourite!) I particularly enjoyed the choreography, so elegant and powerful at the same time. Just beautiful. After the performance, I went backstage and met the choreographer - such a lovely chap, very nice! We had a chat about the latest dance trends and I even did a little impromptu performance. He was quite impressed!

Later that night, I went to the theatre to enjoy a hilarious cabaret show, full of dancing, laughter, and some truly inspiring costumes! There was a very talented drag queen called Sapphire Sparkles, with a sparkly blue outfit - I swear it lit up the entire stage! She gave me a fantastic tip, though: always carry a spare feather boa! You never know when you might need it for a quick impromptu dance off, or perhaps to tie it to a very startled looking squirrel (true story). 😜

You see, sometimes you just gotta roll with it. Like this cute, tiny chihuahua that I met! He kept barking at my pink tutu, which was most amusing, though I confess I did find myself a tad flustered - my “twirling ballerina" routine didn’t go down too well! 😂 But he eventually warmed up to me - I even gave him some pink icing sugar - he was surprisingly adventurous!

But speaking of my favourite tutu... I can’t just visit a city without some gorgeous, classic twirling! Now Nottingham has some amazing public gardens, perfect for my routine. They were absolutely filled with beautiful flowers, buzzing with life. I just had to spin my way through the flowerbeds. People looked so happy, some even started clapping! And why not? My favourite quote is “Shine bright like a diamond!” I always think that everyone should express their uniqueness! You see, that’s what Pink Tutu Sparkles is all about! I encourage you to let your true self shine through. After all, we all need to spread a little glitter and joy in the world. 💫

As always, I love getting to meet you lovely lot. Thank you for following my adventures on www.pink-tutu.com! It wouldn’t be the same without you! And before I sign off, remember, “Tutus Are For Everyone!” I hope you all find your inner Tutu Queen soon. You are all sparkly and brilliant in your own way! 💖

Until next time!

Love and Twirls,

Pink Tutu Sparkles ✨
