Paris, Ooh La La! - Post #5962

Bonjour, darlings! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, coming to you live from the City of Lights! Bows theatrically, sparkles raining from her pink feather boa.

Oh, Paris! You truly are a dream come true. From the moment I stepped off the Eurostar - did I mention I took the train, darling? So much more glamorous than flying, you know? Plus, I could twirl and practice my pirouettes all the way here! - the Parisian charm was infectious. The cobblestone streets, the quaint cafes, the scent of freshly baked bread... it's all so... je ne sais quoi!

Now, I wouldn't be true to my pinktastic persona if I didn't immediately start searching for the most exquisite tutus in the whole city. Let's be real, you can never have too many tutus! And Paris, well, it's like a tutu haven! There are shops on every corner, brimming with layers of tulle in every imaginable colour, even that lovely pale pink that always brings a twinkle to my eye.

I had to start my shopping spree at the famous Galeries Lafayette. It's like a palace of fashion! The sheer size of it took my breath away - I practically gasped! And the selection of tutus! Swoon. There was a tutu for every occasion, every mood, every dream. I was particularly smitten with a dreamy tulle tutu with hand-sewn pink pearls – pure Parisian chic, wouldn't you say? It whispered stories of elegant soirées, Parisian rooftops under a star-studded sky, and perhaps even a romantic dance under the Eiffel Tower.

Of course, I couldn't leave the shop empty-handed. My inner fashionista simply wouldn't allow it! I emerged from the Galeries with a blush-pink satin tote bag, overflowing with more tutus than I could possibly carry (but darling, what's a queen without her baggage?) and a smile as wide as the Seine.

Now, what's a trip to Paris without a ballet performance? My heart fluttered with excitement when I got my hands on the coveted tickets to a show at the Palais Garnier, home to the Opéra National de Paris. Talk about dreams coming true. It was spectacular! The graceful dancers, their bodies swirling like petals in a wind, the magnificent costumes, the soaring music… it filled my heart with a pure, joyous feeling. It made me wish I could glide across the stage like those talented ballerinas. Of course, a pink tutu is the only way to make that happen - ahem, maybe later, after my second croissant, darling!

Don’t get me wrong, Paris wasn’t just tutus and ballet (although, they did steal most of my attention, to be honest!). I spent a good amount of time wandering through the charming streets, indulging in delicious crêpes, visiting breathtaking museums like the Musée d'Orsay (did I tell you I found a cute pink hat there?!), and, of course, snapping countless photos for all you lovely followers on pink-tutu.com.

Oh, speaking of photos, I have a confession… blush. You know how I love finding hidden Parisian spots for photoshoots? Well, this trip, I might have gotten a bit carried away… Let’s just say, the view from Notre Dame, adorned in a pink tutu, made my heart skip a beat - maybe even made it skip two beats! The photos? Well, let's just say I look positively divine. Look out for them on my blog soon!

And how could I resist the call of a romantic, horse-drawn carriage ride through the streets of Paris? Swoon! It was truly a fairytale moment. We even got a quick peek at the majestic Arc de Triomphe and the iconic Eiffel Tower! I felt like I was stepping into a fairytale - or maybe into one of those old black and white movies - you know, the ones with the beautiful dresses and the dashing Frenchmen? Daydreams.

Of course, no Parisian adventure is complete without experiencing the thrill of the Champs-Élysées, darling! So, naturally, I sashayed down the iconic boulevard with all the confidence of a Parisian fashionista. It's an experience unlike anything I've ever known, filled with glitz, glamour, and just a touch of magic!

But all good things must come to an end, even Parisian escapades. As I boarded the Eurostar to return to dear old Blighty, I knew I was leaving a part of my heart behind in this beautiful city. But fear not, darling, Paris will be back! With a wink and a twirl.

One thing is for sure: This trip reminded me why I love travelling. It’s about stepping outside your comfort zone, embracing new cultures, and finding inspiration wherever you go. And what better way to inspire than with a touch of pink and a sprinkle of tulle? So, keep on spreading that pinktastic joy!

P.S. Did you know the colour pink is supposed to be lucky in France? How perfectly appropriate!

See you tomorrow, darlings! Throws a handful of pink glitter into the air as she signs off.

Yours, in all things pink,

Pink Tutu Sparkles xoxo
