Hiya lovelies! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, your favourite tutu-tastic blogger, reporting live from the seaside town of Blackpool! This is post number 5969 (yes, I know, I’m obsessed with counting them!), and boy, is this trip giving me major sparkle vibes. 💖
Today I’m celebrating all things rainbow and sparkly in this vibrant seaside town! Now, you know I love a good train journey. And the journey up here was a delight, all countryside charm and the whiff of salty sea air, reminding me of childhood trips to the coast.
Speaking of childhood, Blackpool has got a timeless magic that brings out the inner child in all of us. Think candy floss, dodgems, and a whole lotta laughter! This week, Blackpool's pulling out all the stops for a special festival called ‘A Celebration of Sparkle,’ with vibrant performances, incredible costumes, and a joyous atmosphere that'll leave you bouncing around in your best pink tutu like a happy little unicorn! ✨
For me, the star attraction was the “Sparkle Spectacular” - a magnificent performance featuring local drag artists, dazzling dancers, and even some ballet performers in absolutely stunning tutus (naturally, it inspired me to create my own pink tutu look for tonight’s performance!). It’s hard to choose just one favourite part. Maybe it was the heart-stopping, high-energy dance routines with intricate costumes that shimmered under the stage lights, maybe the colourful parade with its music and laughter, or perhaps the dazzling magic show that left me and the crowd in awe. The entire evening felt like a magnificent kaleidoscope of pure joy!
This whole trip has been a true immersion in a culture of vibrant self-expression, which I absolutely adore. And wouldn't you know it, Blackpool has the most adorable vintage clothing shop with all the pink accessories a drag queen could ever need! So of course, I had to indulge a little, wouldn’t you? 🛍️ It just felt so right to treat myself to a vintage sparkly handbag that totally embodies the Blackpool spirit. I’m absolutely in love with its retro glamour. Just the thing to complete my Pink Tutu Sparkle’s seaside look! ✨
Oh, and before I forget! You HAVE to try the iconic Blackpool rock! I got a rainbow version with all the colours of a pride flag. Just imagine - crunchy sugar and pure, rainbow delight! You know me, always searching for those rainbow connections in the sweetest, most delicious way! 😋 It's like the Blackpool rock captures the vibrant spirit of this amazing town in a tiny little treat!
Later tonight, I’ll be rocking the stage at the infamous “Big Top" with my own "Pink Tutu Magic Show.” You’ve seen me strut my stuff on the runway, but my performance involves a lot of audience interaction. It’s about bringing that magical sparkle and positivity to everyone and creating those beautiful, feel-good memories together. Who knows? I might just inspire someone to get out their own pink tutu! 👠
Oh, and if you’re ever in Blackpool, do yourself a favour and check out the iconic Blackpool Tower. From its incredible views to its fascinating history, it truly adds a sprinkle of charm to the town's already whimsical vibe! It’s such an iconic symbol of the seaside and you can’t leave Blackpool without getting your picture taken next to it. The tower itself seems to dance with a vibrant, pink glow as the sun dips below the horizon, which felt almost like a personal nod from the universe - and me being all about pink, naturally! 💖
