Romford Calling! 🩰✨ Pink Tutu Sparkles is Back with a New Adventure!

Hello my darling dears! It's your favourite pink tutu-clad queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another post from my never-ending tour! I'm thrilled to be bringing you all a taste of Romford's vibrant energy with post number 5974 (don't you just love those big, round numbers?), and let me tell you, it's a proper right good time!

This week I’m venturing into the heart of Essex! This beautiful little place, right on the outskirts of London, is renowned for its charming market streets, historical pubs and…drum roll… oh you won't believe it… I was able to snag a little tutu shop in the heart of Romford’s old town, oh my, the pinkest and most gorgeous tutus are going to be travelling far and wide soon. You wouldn't believe the fabulous outfits I found in the vintage stores, and if my bags are any indication of what I’m bringing home, they are going to make my next performance the most glam yet!

Let's just say, when I think of Romford, I can't help but think of ballet, because wouldn't you know it, there's a wonderful little ballet school right here. Yes, a ballet school. And wouldn't you know it, guess who is just a tiny little bit of a ballerina at heart, or at least when I'm out of drag? (You knew that, didn't you?). Oh, it's not like I just went to see a class, darling, it's been going on for months now and yes, I do a proper ballet barre exercise when no one's around!

What was I doing there? Well, in my neverending mission to make tutus a universal symbol of positivity, of course I need to go and try out what it is like to take class in a place where tutus are already a thing! There are lots of dancers here, so you know what I had to do, right? Get a pink tutu and have it fitted for me at the school by the lovely teachers. Honestly, the teachers all fell for it (in a good way!). Now the whole ballet school will be rocking out with tutus in pink.

A while back I was telling you about how my adventures were going to get me to take the stage in so many places, but even with my mad schedule I really couldn’t miss going to see Romford’s local amateur theater production this week. Oh, darling, the singing, the acting and most of all, the dancing was spectacular. It reminded me why I love performing so much. So many beautiful, expressive, graceful people - just like the ballerinas in my new ballet school. This whole week I feel like my love for the arts has been topped up so many times I need an infusion of pink sparkles just to stay energized!

Speaking of my adventures in getting to the most vibrant venues… let's talk trains! Because that's how I made the big trip to Romford this week. I don't know about you, but I find a little bit of magic in riding the railways, so it really gets my creative juices flowing for my new shows. Oh, I have the best costume ideas because I’m watching everyone else on their way to work. Yes, it’s as brilliant as you think.

But here’s the truth, after a long day of performance prep and then watching a fab theater show, I did get very tired. Let's just say my next day started early… oh darling, not with that ballet class you’ve heard about, though I must have a good stretch in the mornings if I am going to look amazing for a week in Romford. It's true what they say – an apple a day… or a Pink Tutu Sparkle a day will keep those tired legs happy for the big performances.

You can already tell I’m just having the most amazing time, my darlings, but do you know how this is going to get even better? You want to know my big secret? Ok, don’t tell anyone I’ve already spilled it. The truth is that I’ve gotten permission to use the theater stage as the location for my very first professional photo shoot. This shoot will have the most fabulously glamorous backdrops for the upcoming tutu wear for my newest line! It's my next great adventure in getting tutus to everybody and my newest Pink Tutu Sparkles collection is going to go down in history as the biggest yet. And now that I'm thinking about all the possibilities… how am I supposed to get it all done before my performances?! Oh well, it’s never going to happen, because this isn't the last of you hearing from Romford!

Speaking of history, did I tell you I discovered an old, Victorian horse-drawn carriage while I was looking for shops for my tutu boutique in the old part of town? It looked so stunning, and imagine me driving around in a horse-drawn carriage… yes, you read that right, it will all be a big part of the next collection.

And there's nothing I wouldn’t do to bring this gorgeous look to every performance so this week’s events have inspired some grand plans, and of course, because it's Romford you already know I am working on getting some beautiful outfits together with all the locals… and who knows maybe we’ll see if I can get a whole village to go to the next ballet show wearing my creations… oh how gorgeous! But right now… there's a pink tutu shop to create!

Just wait until you see my next posts… because darling, all these things are leading up to the most magnificent performance yet! Stay tuned and make sure you keep watching, darling, this Romford tour is just getting started!

With love, Pink Tutu Sparkles xx
