Hello, darling darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, signing in live from Wembley! I'm absolutely buzzing with excitement - it's my fifth show this month! Honestly, I can't believe how much fun I'm having.
Today is a very special day, as it marks my 5987th blog post, yes you read that right! Every day I write about all my adventures and what it takes to live the glamorous, tutu-filled life that Pink Tutu Sparkles is all about.
But before I spill the glitter on what happened at Wembley, I need to tell you all about my journey! Now, you know me - a Pink Tutu Sparkle just has to travel in style.
Wembley Whimsy: A Trip Fit For A Queen
The train ride up was truly divine! First-class carriages, a sparkling cuppa and the window seat, allowing for panoramic views of the green rolling English countryside - I felt like a queen! I might have accidentally borrowed some of my fellow passengers' magazines, just to admire the colourful pages, and perhaps to peek into the latest fashion trends, donāt you worry, I put them back, neatly.
My latest pink tutu, Whisper of Strawberries, was sitting beautifully beside me, encased in a vintage luggage trunk covered in tiny sparkly hearts. It truly did stand out, even in the first-class compartment. ( I even spotted a couple of fellow passengers gazing longingly at the little heart stickers, so maybe Iāll consider selling those, itāll be a pink explosion of sparkle and joy, with profits going to a tutu-related charity of course. Maybe a ballet scholarship for young and hopeful ballerinas - what do you think?)
As the train trundled into the bustling Wembley station, I was truly overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of the place. Such elegant architecture! I really love this country, such glorious history! Every corner in London has a little piece of magic hidden within its heart - oh darling, you know how much I love to find the hidden stories in everyday things.
Wembley Welcomes Pink Tutu Sparkle!
It's impossible to escape the electrifying buzz at Wembley Stadium. I am SO in love with its incredible energy! Every corner pulsates with life, an orchestra of people chatting excitedly, children skipping through the streets, and just a hint of excitement in the air, the anticipation of something magnificent was palpable! You just know the crowd will be amazing, eager for a night of joy and entertainment.
I absolutely adore Wembley! You might find me there, lost in admiration of a stunning piece of architectural detail, perhaps sipping an iced strawberry smoothie on the terraces of the stadium, soaking up the vibrant energy! It really is the place to be for a pink tutu loving drag queen - donāt you think?
Pink Tutu Sparkle: Making The Most Of My Time In Wembley!
Now let me tell you, I didn't arrive at Wembley just to stand and gawk at the beauty of the place (although, honestly, it is very tempting!). No, dear darlings, I have an agenda ā a sparkling, dazzling, agenda that would make any diva blush!
First and foremost, I absolutely HAD to visit the "Fashion Spot," a bustling and glorious place bursting with everything you could possibly need, even the most flamboyant Pink Tutu Sparkles. I confess to a slight, perhaps completely uncontrollable urge to spend all the money I ever possessed. Honestly, the variety of fashion was extraordinary! Imagine every shade of pink you could dream of ā and it doesnāt end there, no, it keeps on going - it is a pink fashion feast. The shop also boasted some stunning shoes! If I hadnāt been on a budget (a girl has to travel), I probably wouldāve spent an eternity picking the most gorgeous shoes to add to my growing shoe collection ā but I saved it all for another time!
I simply must go back next time with more money, but I can dream! It was heavenly and I must have twirled my tutu around in ecstasy for a good five minutes before a lovely woman stopped to tell me she loved my pink tutu and had the sweetest time talking to me and asking questions. The pink tutu does break down boundaries ā if I wasnāt in a pink tutu would anyone have even noticed me? Probably not. So maybe my message of āLove the colour Pinkā has worked?
Next, I needed to indulge in some delectable cakes, and what better way to do so than with a spot of Afternoon Tea? You know, darling darlings, the Brits do Afternoon Tea right - delicate sandwiches, delectable pastries, and all the tea you can possibly dream of. But honestly, I find my real treats in those delicious scones with cream. I couldn't resist a second helping. You simply can't visit Wembley and skip an afternoon tea experience - even I had to let the Pink Tutu Sparkles diva rule, this is truly a pink princess ritual!
The Big Event: Pink Tutu Sparkle's Wembley Show!
Now, darling darlings, the moment you've all been waiting for - my Wembley Show! The atmosphere was so full of electricity - the excitement in the crowd was electrifying! It made me feel invincible, the most dazzling queen in the whole wide world!
I have to say, my most dazzling Pink Tutu, āSparkle Supreme," was a huge hit with the crowd - they couldnāt stop snapping away and screaming my name! Honestly, I almost forgot how to speak during the first number! This tutu really shines, and when youāre wearing it you canāt help but feel fabulous! Maybe itās the little diamantĆ© hearts sewn onto every layer of the tutuā¦ Maybe itās the pink ostrich feathers that I insist on buying - itās just fabulous. And let's not forget my amazing performance. This was one night where all the stars aligned!
But darling darlings, this performance was extra special because of you. The wonders of the internet connected us all ā so even if you couldn't be there with me in person, your hearts and your applause were part of my experience. I felt you all sending me love and it was truly magical! I knew as I danced on stage, that somewhere in the world there was someone cheering me on, thinking of me, loving the show, and most importantly, maybe, just maybe thinking about putting on a pink tutu - what can be better than that?!
The show finished to a roar of applause and a chant for "More, More"! I knew then, that my performance had reached your hearts and had hopefully touched something special within you! Wembley has never witnessed such dazzling performance! It really is the stage where dreams come true! I wish every diva, every sparkly dream had the chance to perform here, to touch hearts with every note, every step, every glitter of Pink Tutu Sparkle!
Back To The Daily Grindā¦ Or Maybe Itās More Than Grindā¦
It was an exhilarating few hours of sparkle, sequins, and pure happiness! But as always, my life is a delicate blend of the dazzling and the everyday, I must leave the wonderous realm of pink tutus and travel back home to Derbyshire, and, for a few hours at least, slip back into my scientist persona.
By day I analyse and test different types of fabrics, ensuring that all clothes you buy will pass rigorous safety and durability tests. Oh the wonders of science! Maybe, just maybe, one day I will use this expertise to help create the perfect fabric for a pink tutu?
Oh darling, the thoughts never stop ā never rest until they're turned into a sparkling reality! So itās off to a lab coated Alex for a few hours, ready to work with a brilliant and supportive team of fellow scientists, the best colleagues a scientist could ask for, theyāre such a colourful crew, if a little less pink, but thereās a definite place for pink in the lab. They support my creative endeavours ā I couldnāt have achieved anything without their support! A little support always helps the dream along!
Itās all about making dreams real - be it dancing, designing, discovering, or dazzling. And as I sit on this train, watching the world zoom past, I think how lucky I am. Itās a life less ordinary. Maybe your lifeās a bit ordinary now - or you wish it was less ordinary - and you are longing to find a sprinkle of glitter! Thatās ok ā thatās the first step! Maybe this blog has shown you a few pink tutu possibilities - maybe, just maybe you could do a bit of pink magic in your own life.
