Oh darling, how I do love a good trip! This week, Pink Tutu Sparkles has ventured to the fabulous city of London, and guess what? I’m performing at the Hammersmith Apollo! 💅✨ It’s the dream, isn’t it? Performing at such an iconic venue! The sheer thought of strutting across that stage, shimmering in my pink tutu, with the spotlight shining on my sparkly tiara… well, darling, it's enough to make even a seasoned queen like myself get butterflies!
You know how much I adore a train journey. There’s something so magical about settling into a comfy carriage, looking out of the window as the countryside rushes by, and thinking about the fun I’m about to have. 🚂 And what better outfit to wear on a train than a fabulous pink tutu, of course! The train conductor kept flashing me the biggest grin. "Looking lovely, darling!" he said. “Quite a look,” another passenger whispered as I sashayed down the aisle to find my seat. I simply twirled and gave them my most glamorous smile. Everyone loves a pink tutu! 💖
As soon as I arrived in London, the first thing I did was check in at my lovely boutique hotel. My room is practically bursting with glitter, from the chandelier to the throw pillows, it's absolutely stunning. I don’t know how they even let me leave my room, I could stay in bed all day, but I can’t waste a minute of my London adventure. 🛌
Of course, my first port of call had to be Harrods. That shop is a dream come true for any drag queen. Every shade of pink you can possibly imagine, and not a single shop assistant blinked an eye when I marched in, my tulle trailing behind me like a cloud. 🛍️ They're used to seeing the likes of me, darling! And, of course, I had to grab a few more pink tutus, because every drag queen needs more pink tutus!
The next day, darling, it was off to the theatre! My inner ballerina was leaping for joy. This time, it wasn’t even to see a ballet (although, darling, I’m sure that’ll be on the schedule, of course!). No, today I was going to see a production of ‘Phantom of the Opera’, and oh, darling, you wouldn’t believe the fabulous costumes! 🎭 You know how I love a dramatic gown and glittering sequins. I have to confess, even the chandelier nearly brought a tear to my eye, just think of how many people have gazed up at that magical ceiling. It's a privilege, you know, to be in a place like that.
The other highlight of my trip? That has to be seeing a real-life ballet! Yes, darling, I actually saw ‘Swan Lake’ performed live. I can’t even tell you how much my heart danced watching the grace and elegance of those ballerinas, the ethereal music swirling through the hall. 🦢 It truly reminded me why I adore the world of dance so much! The theatre is so beautiful too, all dark mahogany and glittering gold.
As always, I can’t be without a touch of glamour when I’m in London, so I made sure to fit in a few trips to the city’s hottest clubs and bars. Dancing in my pink tutu, of course, surrounded by the city’s brightest and boldest personalities! Oh darling, they’re such an interesting bunch. It was at one of these clubs that I met a delightful young woman who turned out to be a talented street performer. And, you’ll never guess what, she loved the idea of Pink Tutu Sparkles wearing her tutu. It was just so thrilling for me. People come up to me all the time about the pink tutus and want to know where I get them from, what my name is, and who’s designing my outfits, but actually wearing one? That was a truly special moment. And guess what, darling? The performance itself? It was dazzling. I watched in wonder as she moved and danced in her tutu. So inspiring. Truly amazing! 💃
But now it’s time for the big event, the main reason I made the trip to London – my performance at the Hammersmith Apollo! I’ve been working hard, darling, getting my routines perfect. My wardrobe is glittering, and I’ve even added a few sparkly, extra-special touches to my fabulous pink tutu. 💖 You know I’ve always been a big believer in keeping my outfits secret. It's all part of the fun, building up to the show!
I am feeling so incredibly excited about this performance. It's a big stage, it’s a big venue, it’s London! This is the chance for me to make my dreams come true! And of course, I want to spread a little sparkle along the way. Maybe this could be the performance that gets the whole audience to start wearing pink tutus! My life mission is, after all, to get every single person to dance like a fairy in a fabulous, pink tutu! 💖
