Hiya sweeties! It's your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles here, back with you on my fabulous blog! Today's post is number 5994, can you believe it? It feels like just yesterday I was posting about my first ever drag performance in a dingy pub back in Derbyshire... Now look at me! Darling, we're all over the UK and I'm going global with my pink tutu mission! Today's adventure took me to Darlington, and I'm so excited to tell you all about it!
Firstly, let me say: travelling to Darlington was just divine. I couldn't resist taking the train, of course! Nothing beats gazing out of the window, watching the English countryside zip by, feeling the rhythm of the tracks underneath me, all while sporting a pink tutu, my signature look. It's just SO glamorous, darling!
And speaking of glamorous, Darlington itself was such a treat! The architecture, the parkland, it felt straight out of a fairytale! I love towns that have history and character, you know? Darlington has that in spades! Even before I started my performance at the local arts centre, I'd spotted some absolutely divine boutiques, one even had a fabulous pink tutu section - my heart did a little skip! I'm definitely returning to do some serious shopping next time!
But onto the main event, darling! My performance at the arts centre was an absolute smash! I opened with a choreographed piece featuring the iconic song "Pink Panther", naturally! The crowd went wild, throwing rose petals and whooping and cheering. I honestly don't know what I did to deserve such lovely fans! I even had a young lad come up to me after the performance - a little lad of about six or seven, I'd guess, dressed in a fluffy pink tutu! He just stared at me with the biggest grin on his face, and shouted, "You're AMAZING!" It really melted my heart, you know? That's the true magic of drag, darling, the joy and wonder it brings to people of all ages!
Then, after the set, I took requests! The crowds in Darlington were really up for it! A bit of disco, a little bit of pop, and I even threw in a surprise rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", because that song truly encapsulates the dreams we hold close! I'd even whipped up a surprise - I had some amazing sparkly pink tutus custom-made for this tour and I gave them out to some lucky audience members! Everyone was dancing and twirling, truly a scene I'll never forget!
You know what really struck me in Darlington? Everyone seemed to embrace my love for pink and tutus, without a moment's hesitation! It reminded me that maybe, just maybe, my life mission is actually possible! Imagine a world where everyone embraces their unique sparkle, where we can all feel confident enough to express ourselves without a thought for judgement. We can all wear a pink tutu!

- Fun fact: I took inspiration for my Darlington show from the beautiful Darlington town park. It felt so fairytale-like, a whimsical haven of trees and greenery. I even wore a floral pink crown for my set!
