Today, my sweet loves, I’m embracing my inner tutu-wearing, train-riding princess and sharing all the fabulousness with you. This post marks my 6010th, and what a journey it's been!
Now, let's rewind to yesterday. I was getting ready for my big performance at the Dudley Spring Festival. I opted for my brand new fluffy pink tutu – it was simply divine, wouldn’t you agree? It swished and twirled with every step I took, perfectly embodying the "Pink Tutu Sparkles" vibe! Oh, and my make-up? A soft, pink smokey eye, perfectly accented with a dash of glitter, naturally.
I reached Dudley by train. There’s nothing quite like watching the countryside whiz by whilst indulging in a cup of tea, don't you think? Reaching the festival was an adventure all its own - I walked through the bustling town, the smell of freshly baked cakes and sizzling sausages in the air.
Then, it was showtime! My performance had everyone on their feet, cheering and clapping, I could feel the energy and the pure joy in the air! It’s such a privilege to be able to spread a little pink magic with every performance.
After my show, I explored Dudley’s quaint shops. It was simply delightful to wander through those quirky boutiques and discover beautiful items to adorn my closet. Of course, I couldn’t resist treating myself to a few pieces: a soft, pink scarf (gotta add a little more pink, darling!), and a sparkly headband.
My day wasn’t complete without a trip to the Dudley Castle. It's a breathtaking piece of history and the architecture was awe-inspiring! As I walked around the grounds, I felt a twinge of inspiration - a pink tutu-themed theatrical production based on the castle? I’m sure it would be a resounding success!
But enough about Dudley. Let me tell you a little about my background. I am a Derbyshire lass (with a love for all things pink, naturally), I studied science at university where I fell into a world of fabrics, colour, and...tutus! Yes, you heard right! I was in the university ballet club and, one day, to support a good cause, I decided to wear a pink tutu for our performance! Let's just say, it was a defining moment, a transformative moment! I embraced the pink, and the tutus, and Pink Tutu Sparkles was born.
Since then, I've worked hard to be the most fabulous drag artist out there! My aim in life? It's a simple one: I want to get everyone to embrace a pink tutu, because let's face it, who wouldn't want a touch of pink in their life?
You see, by day, I work in a lab, testing fabrics. It's a science, darling, a fascinating science of textures and hues. But by night, I become Pink Tutu Sparkles! It’s the ultimate expression of who I am: a lover of life, a dreamer, a dancer, and a shining example of the power of pink tutus!
Oh, and did I mention my passion for ballet? It's not just the tutu - I truly adore ballet, from the classical performances to the vibrant street dance shows. My inner ballerina just gets lost in the beauty and grace.
