This week's post is number 6079 - I do love a good blog post count! 💫 It's been an absolute whirlwind of pink-tastic adventures, and I can't wait to spill all the tea! ☕️
My trusty, feathered fan in hand and a symphony of sparkly pink hues dazzling my way, I'm embracing every opportunity to bring my message of joy and pink-tastic fashion to the world! And where better to begin this mission than right here in Nottingham!
Oh my darlings, you simply wouldn't believe how I arrived in Sutton in Ashfield! 🐎 The journey started in my beloved Derbyshire. I donned my signature, frilly pink tutu, and set off on my faithful steed, Princess, a majestic white horse adorned with a pink feather boa (she does look lovely, if I say so myself!). 💖 The breeze whipping through my sparkly pink hair, the sound of Princess's hooves pounding the ground - it felt like a scene from a fairytale!
It wasn't exactly a 'train-spotter' kind of day, darling! Those of you who know me know I'm a huge advocate for all things railway (particularly steam trains!), but I just had to make the most of a sunny day for some horseback riding!
Once in Sutton in Ashfield, I did a quick pit stop to fuel my sparkly self with some delectable strawberry-and-cream tea, a must-have for any proper tea time with a pink tutu, right? 💕
After indulging in a little pink treat (that was not a diet pink milkshake! Sometimes, a girl needs her sweet, pink pleasures), I headed off for the main event - performing at the town's famous market!
Picture this: Rows upon rows of stalls filled with trinkets and treasures, a cheerful buzz of people chatting and haggling, and me, Pink Tutu Sparkles, strutting across the cobbled street, a veritable explosion of pink! The crowds, darlings, were captivated! I've always said a good tutu and some well-timed cartwheels can turn heads - especially when paired with a pink glittery leotard! 🤩
My act started off with a few sassy dance moves (let's just say my years in the university ballet club came in handy!), a quick rendition of "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" (with added sparkly flourishes, of course!) and some classic Pink Tutu Sparkles charm, you know the kind! The applause was deafening! 💕 I absolutely adore bringing joy to others, and it truly is magic seeing faces light up!
Of course, the inevitable photo opportunity followed! And my dear audience did not disappoint. I got snapped with young ladies eager to show off their pink-tastic spirit, older gentlemen with twinkle in their eye (don't they all love a flamboyant queen?), even a dog in a tiny pink tutu (oh my god! I couldn't resist!). 😂
But, wait, there was even more! After my dazzling market performance, I decided to truly embrace the Sutton in Ashfield experience and venture into the heart of its cultural scene! Off I went, Pink Tutu Sparkles on a grand cultural adventure!
First stop, the majestic Sutton in Ashfield Playhouse! ✨ Now, you'll know by now that Pink Tutu Sparkles has a slight, maybe significant, obsession with ballet! I adore those perfectly twirling, graceful movements. And the ballet costumes - well, they just scream "pink tutu" in my book! 💕
So, you can just imagine my delight when I learned the Sutton in Ashfield Playhouse is renowned for its spectacular theatrical productions. Of course, I snagged a prime ticket and enjoyed a performance of "The Nutcracker", a perennial ballet favorite (my tutu collection boasts no fewer than four "Nutcracker" inspired tutus, just sayin'! 💅 )
The Sutton in Ashfield Playhouse is absolutely breathtaking, darlings! The architecture is simply magnificent, all intricate detailing and grand interiors. It felt like stepping into another world, filled with pink hued dreams! 😍 And the performance was simply mesmerizing!
After all that ballet magic, I couldn't resist stopping by the "Just for Kids" toy store on my way out of Sutton in Ashfield. I have always believed in sharing the pink joy with children - who else deserves the ultimate sparkle in their lives? 💖 And where better to do this than a store bursting with adorable stuffed toys, games, and everything a child could dream of?
I couldn't help but leave with a fluffy pink unicorn and a sparkly pink wand, because Pink Tutu Sparkles is always ready to make dreams come true! 💖 I might even use those unicorn toys to inspire the next generation of tutu wearers! 💅
I can't help but gush about how wonderful Sutton in Ashfield is! From its quaint streets filled with colourful buildings, to the friendly faces, and delicious local treats (my tummy has never felt so good!) it was an adventure for all senses! ✨ This little town has a heart of gold, darlings, and Pink Tutu Sparkles is definitely adding it to the pink map of the world! 🌎
