Middleton Mayhem! (Post #6095)

Hiya darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from Middleton, where the sunshine is practically making the pink tutus positively glow.

Honestly, I’m a little giddy, it’s like a sugar rush that refuses to fade – probably down to the triple pink hot chocolate I treated myself to before heading out!

And guess what, loves? Today was all about ballet! You wouldn't believe the absolutely fabulous “Swan Lake” production I caught at the local theatre, the choreography was a complete dream – those graceful movements, the breathtaking costuming, the powerful music… and I totally fell in love with the Prince, I mean hello, all that dashing prince charm in a handsome white suit, it just makes my heart flutter!

(He might not be a real prince, darlings, but my imagination doesn't really distinguish between the real and the dream world when it comes to ballet, do you?).

Speaking of princes, and perhaps a tad more grounded (although my heels certainly aren’t!), the Middleton train station is such a little jewel. So quaint, it's just calling out to be transformed into a stage set, especially with that old clock tower - oh, wouldn't it look grand if I waltzed in during my act, my pink tutu billowing as I swept up the steps? I need to speak to the manager... dreams big, darlings.

My journey here, as you all know, involved my favourite mode of travel, the train. The journey was delightful – I popped on the little old steam engine, The Flying Scotsman, and even took the opportunity to have a chat with the conductor (such a charmer, just like the Prince!), He seemed impressed with my pink tutu, and the rest of the carriages seemed to agree! A real feeling of acceptance. Maybe pink really is the new black, eh?

Of course, once in Middleton I simply had to pop into one of the antique shops. Such an enchanting little store, overflowing with vintage pieces – I almost lost my own tiara, caught in the glint of a thousand tiny, glittery buttons. I was tempted by an absolutely stunning pair of emerald green satin opera gloves that I'd happily pair with a silver sequinned pink tutu and... and... wait for it... sparkling pink cowboy boots. Just picture the effect, lovelies – it’s magic, right?

Of course, any time in Middleton calls for some shopping – it just wouldn’t be a proper day without a peek into their fab vintage clothing boutique – oh, such a dream, lovelies! Imagine, velvet frocks the colour of rubies and sparkling vintage brooches, so big you could literally see your face reflected in them!

And speaking of bling... my sparkles haven't faded at all after my last performance, you can see the shine of them everywhere in Middleton! There's this little fair taking place – I actually popped in before my ballet trip and found myself totally surrounded by carnival games and hot dogs (I mean hot dog, no bun of course!) I even managed to win a pink fluffy unicorn, how amazing!

Before the fair, there were these adorable children, all so enthusiastic about seeing a real-life princess! You see, they thought I was the real princess because of my fabulous tutu. Well, I'm no royal family member, darling, but I was ready for a bit of role play, of course. So, with my glittery wand (you've got to check it out online, by the way) we did the most delightful, princess-themed photo shoot, oh the glamour of it all!

Of course, what else would a pink-tutu-loving queen do but check out the local ballet class. This school’s studio is beautiful, I mean, what else would a true dancing queen want than floor-to-ceiling mirrors and pink, pink, pink everywhere? I had to contain my excitement – all this ballerina-liciousness made me want to hop right into those adorable ballet shoes and twirl for hours. And it wasn't just me, darling, they all loved my pink tutu! Especially one little one – let's just say, the "future is pink".

(Honestly, even if it doesn't work out, I'm considering adopting that little one just to keep her enthusiasm for pink tutus alive, a serious future princess of my very own.)

This evening, I’ll be dancing with a few friends at the local hall, where I'm setting up a performance with all my new ballet buddies. And everyone in town is coming, from the baker and his adorable little flour-covered-face-angels to the sweet shopkeeper who sold me that perfect vintage mirror that matches the pink glittery sequins on my tutu perfectly. Just imagine the sparkle...

Now, darling, I need to dash off. It’s a bit late for the fair, and I need to catch that last train out – this little pink flamingo in need of a nap. You know what they say, a queen can’t be over prepared!

Until next time, darling, Pink Tutu Sparkles
