Hello darlings, and welcome to the pinkest and sparkliest blog in the entire internet-verse! It's your TutuQueen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, bringing you all the fabulous fun from my adventures in Great Yarmouth!
First off, can we talk about this beautiful coastal town? The sea air, the sunshine (yes, sunshine!), the happy, smiling faces, the...wait for it...fish and chips! Honestly, a dream come true. It felt like stepping right into a postcard - in the best possible way!
Now, let's talk about how I got there! Oh, the journey was half the fun, as they say! You know how much I adore traveling by train, but this time, I went for a bit of an adventure - a horseback ride on the way to the seaside! Yes, you heard right, my darlings, Pink Tutu Sparkles is a fearless, tutu-clad Amazon on a horse! And let me tell you, it was epic! Picture this: me, in my sparkly pink tutu, riding through the English countryside, with the wind whipping through my fabulous hair... I'm telling you, it was a true fashion statement on a majestic animal!
The train journey was the usual fabulousness - you know I can't travel without my full glam makeup, my dazzling wig and a stack of glittery nail polish! Plus, my pink sequined rucksack. Gotta have the essentials. Oh, and let me not forget my latest find at the vintage store in Chesterfield. It was a fabulous, pink lace feather boa - just perfect to add some extra oomph to my ensemble!
Once in Great Yarmouth, I immediately made my way to the heart of town - and boy, did they know I was there! I could hear people saying: "Look, it's Pink Tutu Sparkles!" It was magical. Seriously, people recognised me from my social media and, to be honest, the incredible, huge, pink sparkly tutu that I was wearing! It even has a little LED light that flashes, so, as you can imagine, I literally sparkle from head to toe.
We have to talk about the food, darlings! First stop - the seafood stalls on the pier. I know I should stick to the more refined cuisine but I am not one for denying myself an occasional treat, especially when it's the best fish and chips in the world! I tell you what, the smell alone was enough to make me swoon. So fresh, so crispy, so perfect! Then there was the ice cream - lots and lots of ice cream, with sprinkles and whipped cream. My tummy is truly grateful for all this deliciousness!
And let's not forget the show! Of course, Pink Tutu Sparkles always has to give a performance. My act was a combination of classic ballet, a bit of contemporary dance, and some hilarious improv. The audience went wild! I had them giggling, cheering, and throwing confetti at the end! The best part, apart from my fab dancing of course, is that it inspired at least five little girls to join me onstage at the end. We did a little line-dancing, all wearing pink tutus! They looked so happy! My little tutu-dancing army.
Great Yarmouth, you have a special place in my heart. Your seaside charm, the friendly locals, the yummy food - I couldn't have wished for a more fantastic time. Plus, you’ve provided me with enough pink-tutu-inspired stories for my blog for the next three weeks! I even saw a dog wearing a pink tutu (true story!) Now I really think I'm on a mission to spread the joy of tutus to all corners of the Earth!

Alex's CornerPssst! Did you know I’m not always wearing a pink tutu? (I know, shocker! ) By day, I'm a humble science whiz, working in a lab testing the tensile strength of fabrics. And who would have guessed that a scientist would become a tutu-clad dancing queen by night?
My world transformed one night, about four years ago. I joined the University Ballet Club (my degree in Material Science was not proving too much fun). There they held a fundraiser for a charity and as it was all pink they got me to try on a tutu. From that moment on, my life was filled with glitter and feathers. Never underestimate the power of a pink tutu!
The more I learn, the more I know - it doesn't matter if you're a scientist, a dancer, or a tutu-wearing drag queen. It's about following your passions, having fun and spreading joy!

The Outfit RundownOkay, let's talk about the outfit, because you all know how much I love fashion! I knew that Great Yarmouth was a bit of a windy location (the sea and all that) and so I wore a super sturdy pink sparkly tutu, which held up really well! To be on the safe side, I layered my tutu with some pretty pink chiffon to keep it nice and full. On my top half, I had a shimmering pink bodice. The fabric was sparkly with lots of little pink sequins! It made me sparkle from head to toe, which of course is a requirement for my persona!
Of course, no look is complete without some fabulous accessories, and Great Yarmouth was no exception. I had my trademark pink feathers in my hair and, since it was a windy day, I opted for a sturdy pink hat. Because who says a dancing queen can't wear a hat? My makeup was a mix of pink eyeshadow, false eyelashes, and my trademark bright red lipstick.
Oh, and did I tell you about the pink nail polish? Sparkly, of course!
