Hello darlings! 💖 It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another post from the road! This time, I'm dazzling the seaside town of Herne Bay, Kent, with a whole lot of pink tulle and glitter! ✨
Getting here was half the fun! My travel partner for this jaunt was none other than a trusty steed (and no, I don't mean my car!). 🐴 This handsome black mare named Willow is a real darling - she knows her way around the lanes and kept me giggling all the way.
Once in Herne Bay, I set about transforming my little seaside B&B room into a veritable Pink Tutu HQ. 🌸 My trusty sequin suitcase opened up to reveal an explosion of sparkle, feathers, and of course, more pink tutus than you can shake a feather boa at! It's my sacred duty to pack enough tulle to cover an entire seaside town - the more the merrier, I always say!
This week is going to be a whirlwind of tutus, theatre, and a whole lot of fabulousness. Herne Bay seems to be buzzing with energy, a mix of local talent and visiting acts. The promenade has been transformed into a kaleidoscope of pink for my show on Saturday, so naturally, I've got an extra-special number in store! It’s all going to be so much fun, darling!
Oh! But before we get into the glitzy details of the show, I wanted to tell you about my day! This morning was all about channeling my inner prima ballerina with a private class at the delightful Herne Bay Ballet School. 💕 You wouldn’t believe how much fun it was! Those twirling techniques are coming in handy, not just on the stage, but for any fancy footwork required when wearing a multi-layered, pouffy tutu. 🩰 😉
And speaking of tutus! Have you seen the beautiful ones I’m showcasing this weekend? There’s a shimmery pink with lavender embroidery I can't get enough of, and a full-blown pink ball gown tutu with an extra-fluffy petticoat for maximum drama. 😍 Just looking at them makes my heart flutter!
And, wouldn't you know it, the shop owner at a charming little antique boutique has the most darling vintage fascinators! 👒 She has a vintage feathered beauty for me, and guess what? It’s pink, of course!
So, after all this pink fabulousness, my lovely friends, how do I keep going with my travels and never run out of new experiences? Simple: My work keeps me going! 💖 By day, I'm a scientist, using my knowledge of fabric testing for my research and then translating that to my drag wardrobe. At night, I become Pink Tutu Sparkles and take the world by storm with my signature, glitter-tastic pink tulle look. 🔬✨

My theme for tonight's show at the charming Mermaid Theatre? A Trip Around the World with a Pink Tutu. 🗺️ We'll be jet-setting from the beaches of Brazil to the glittering lights of Tokyo. Of course, there’s a dash of London thrown in, what else would I do in this gorgeous country?! 😉 It’ll be full of glitter, glam, and a lot of pink tutu fun! 💖
Tomorrow, we’re going on an adventure! The whole team is getting together for a fun-filled day at the Herne Bay Beach Festival! I've been looking forward to this all week! 🌊 Sun, sand, and sequins, oh my! There are stalls full of crafts and local products. They'll be serving delicious hot food, and of course, I’ve heard rumours of some absolutely beautiful vintage stalls. Imagine! Who knows what pink delights I’ll find?
