Hey darlings! It's your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another fab-u-lous blog post! ? This time, we're heading north to the charming coastal town of Blyth, nestled in Northumberland. And oh my stars, you wouldn't believe the adventures I had! ? This is post number 6120 for me, so get your reading glasses ready! ?
Blyth's a bit of a surprise gem. Don't get me wrong, I love a good city adventure, but sometimes it's refreshing to get away from the hustle and bustle and soak up a bit of peace and quiet. So, how did I get here, you ask? Well, imagine this: me, strutting onto a majestic train platform in my most flamboyant ensemble - a blush-pink tulle tutu, shimmering silver platform heels, and a hot pink velvet bolero, naturally! ?? ? My suitcase was bursting with sequined dreams and feathers, as always. ✨
The journey was a dream. I spent the time gazing at the rolling countryside, catching up on the latest gossip in my beloved "The Daily Telegraph" - nothing gets the brainwaves firing like a spot of classic British news, am I right? ? And, of course, no Pink Tutu Sparkles trip is complete without a well-stocked pink champagne cocktail in my trusty travel mug. ?
I couldn't wait to get to Blyth, but let me tell you, even the train ride was an event in itself! A lovely chap, with a charming handlebar moustache, spotted me from the platform. "Darling," he said, with a cheeky grin, "You look absolutely smashing! And I love your pink tutu." ? You can imagine the blush creeping onto my cheeks, darling! ? Just a simple "thank you" escaped my lips, followed by the biggest and most glittering smile I could muster. ? It's these little moments, these friendly interactions, that truly make my trips so magical. ?
Blyth welcomed me with open arms - or rather, with a gloriously fresh sea breeze that whipped through my hair. The town's got a certain character, a vibrant heart beating beneath its charming coastal facade. ? I was mesmerised by the vibrant art installations gracing the town's streets, showcasing the creativity of local artists. ? I couldn't help but admire their dedication to transforming Blyth into an inspiring tapestry of colour. And then there was the beach! It was a stunning, expansive stretch of sand, the perfect canvas for a photo shoot with my new glittery, sequin-laden beachwear! ? I simply had to snap some fabulous pics, right? ?
But of course, I couldn't visit Blyth without a spot of ballet, darling! ? The Blyth Dance Centre was simply divine! Their website was already promising the most magical performances and I was itching to see their rendition of "The Nutcracker" - you can imagine how my excitement grew. After a little detour to pick up a fluffy pink scarf for the theatre - pink is my favourite colour, after all! ? - I arrived at the centre feeling utterly exhilarated.
The venue was a gorgeous Victorian-style theatre with warm, glowing lights and intricate wood paneling. You could tell just by walking into the foyer that ballet was a passion, a way of life, for the people of Blyth. Inside the auditorium, the dancers were magical, gracefully twirling across the stage in vibrant tutus. Oh, it was pure magic! ? As they twirled, I noticed the smiles of pure joy on their faces. I think the love for ballet was truly infectious - I couldn't help but twirl right along with them! ? The "Nutcracker" was utterly captivating, bringing a sparkle to my eyes and a skip to my step. You truly can't go wrong with a bit of Tchaikovsky, my dears!
And to cap off the perfect evening, I savoured a delectable dinner at the "Seaview Inn" overlooking the twinkling lights of Blyth Harbour. ?? It was the kind of dinner that leaves you feeling full, satisfied, and totally happy - which was the perfect mood for a day filled with fun, fabulous adventures, and pink tutus. ?
