Wigston Magna: A Tutu-licious Adventure! 🩰✨

Hey darlings! It’s your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, reporting live from the delightful town of Wigston Magna!

Post #6144 – and just like every single day, I'm ready to share all the fabulous, pink-tastic happenings with you!

Wigston Magna, you may ask? Well, this gorgeous little spot in Leicestershire has been calling my name for weeks. Ever since I spotted a postcard depicting the stunning Wigston Magna Parish Church, I knew it was a destination worth a Tutu-fied visit.

My journey started bright and early this morning, with a little flutter of excitement bubbling inside me. My travel plan? Simple! The reliable old-fashioned way – a trip on the train, of course! And as usual, I made sure to embrace a bit of my inner equestrian, wearing a fabulously floral pink and white polka dot dress with a big, frilly pink tutu on top. It's just so much more fun to wear a tutu while you travel!

This, my dear readers, is the beauty of pink tutus – they can elevate any occasion, from a morning train journey to a swanky evening show! My Tutu Philosophy? There’s never a time or place that’s not perfect for a tutu! 💕

Once I reached Wigston Magna, I decided to give myself a little treat – a cuppa and a delicious cake at the cutest little tearoom, Tea & Treats. It's like stepping into a picture book!

Then, I was off to explore this lovely little town. You know, it really has a unique charm. I spent the afternoon wandering down quaint streets, taking in the sights – from the charming houses adorned with beautiful flower boxes to the bustling market square filled with delightful stalls.

Later, it was time for a glamorous show at The Waggon and Horses pub. And of course, Pink Tutu Sparkles was ready to bring the glitz and glamour, strutting my stuff on stage with a brand-new, spectacular, dazzling pink tutu – my "Wigston Sparkle" as I've affectionately named it!

Pink Tutu Sparkles' Wigston Magna Highlights:

  • Wigston Magna Parish Church: A stunning gothic building with a history stretching back to the 14th century!
  • Tea & Treats: This delightful tearoom is a must-visit for its enchanting atmosphere, scrumptious cakes and oh-so-tasty homemade scones!
  • Wigston Magna Market: A buzzing, energetic place overflowing with local produce and handmade crafts. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for unique treasures!
  • The Waggon and Horses pub: This cosy pub was the perfect spot to end the day with some great tunes and delicious food, accompanied by, of course, a little sprinkle of Pink Tutu Sparkles magic!

But you know me – I love to explore! And Wigston Magna didn't disappoint. It’s a beautiful town steeped in history and buzzing with vibrant local culture.

I can already see why this little town has stolen a place in my heart! It has a wonderfully laid-back atmosphere, filled with friendly faces, amazing food, and charming little shops and streets. The whole place has such a friendly, welcoming feel! You can really sense the spirit of the local community!

But don’t think this is just about exploring the town!

Wigston Magna holds a special place in my heart for another reason – ballet! Yes, I know, the Tutu Queen has to have a ballet connection, right?

As you all know, my passion for ballet burns as brightly as a thousand pink twirling tutus. I could dance ballet till the cows come home – and I have! Remember the amazing ballet summer school I went to in Derbyshire a few months ago? Well, that's all thanks to a certain pink tutu, you know…

I’ll share that story again for those of you who haven’t been lucky enough to read my blog. You see, back in university, while I was trying to cram as much science as my little brain could take (Yes! This queen has a science degree!), I also joined the university ballet club. One afternoon, they organised a charity fundraiser with a twist – dressing up in pink tutus! Well, it was love at first sight! From that moment, it was tutus galore. The rest, as they say, is history – history in shimmering, pink, fabulous history!

But that’s another story. The point is – I was absolutely ecstatic to discover that Wigston Magna is a hub for the most beautiful dance performances, especially ballet! It really has captured my dancing heart!

Here's a little ballet scoop for my dear readers:

This weekend, Wigston Magna is hosting "The Nutcracker" - the ballet classic by Tchaikovsky. Of course, you know I simply had to be there, strutting my stuff with my Pink Tutu Sparkle's magic, experiencing all the joy, beauty, and elegance of a ballet performance, right here, in the heart of Wigston Magna!

If you’re a fellow dance enthusiast or just love experiencing something utterly enchanting, you can catch the show at The Magna Centre. It’s the perfect evening of exquisite ballet, live music and an amazing, heart-warming story! I can already tell you, it’s going to be spectacular! The costumes, the graceful dancers and the beautiful stage set will truly make you believe in the magic of Christmas!

I’m already picturing myself dancing under the twinkly stage lights, spinning in my Pink Tutu Sparkle's glow, living out all my ballerina dreams, and you should be too! After all, I have a big pink Tutu-ful dream – to spread the love for dance, to share the joy of expressing oneself through ballet, and to get everyone in Wigston Magna – and all around the world – to embrace the pure joy of wearing a pink tutu!

Stay tuned for my TutuQueen’s post #6145! I'll be sharing all the magical details of the ballet show. And if you're thinking of visiting Wigston Magna for the "Nutcracker" experience, then you have to check out my TutuQueen Top Tips!

Until then, my lovely darlings, take care! Remember to sprinkle your days with pink tutu magic – and don't forget to twirl, twirl, twirl!

XOXO Pink Tutu Sparkles
