Today, we’re dipping our toes into the beautiful seaside town of Deal, a proper little slice of British seaside heaven. Now, let me tell you, it's been quite a journey to get here! I've had to squeeze into my darling, hand-stitched fuchsia pink tutu – made by yours truly, obviously, using the finest fabrics from my own private collection! 💖 – then, the usual mad dash through Derbyshire on my faithful steed, Buttercup. She is, after all, the most glorious of the beautiful white Arab stallions in the region!
Anyway, Deal, oh Deal, my loves! Let’s start with the sheer majesty of the place! My dears, there's something about those towering white cliffs, the rolling waves crashing onto the beach, and the quaint cobbled streets that just…well, just does something for the soul. This town is a postcard brought to life! It's just utterly magical, like stepping into a painting by one of my absolute favourite artists – you know, one of those ones whose name escapes me at this moment… 🎨✨
It was, of course, inevitable that a trip to the sea would lead to a visit to the lovely Deal Castle, that imposing masterpiece overlooking the shimmering waters! We couldn’t miss a visit to this beautiful 16th century monument. Those old walls, thick and strong, standing proudly against the ever-changing weather…it just makes you feel incredibly small and incredibly powerful all at the same time, if you know what I mean, darling. And the views from up there? Breathtaking! 👑🏰🌊
Right after Deal Castle, we ventured off for a delicious lunch! Now, if there’s one thing that really makes a queen tick, it’s a good seafood lunch at the harbour. I was absolutely positively transported by the freshness, the delicious smells of the salty air, and oh, the flavours! My loves, we just can’t have enough of the wonderful delights of seaside living. 🐚🦐
And speaking of the delights of seaside living… cough cough my loves, there’s something just inherently beautiful about those pretty pastel beach huts dotted along the shore. There’s so much history to them, just little time capsules from the seaside of old. My own pink tutu might look very modern, but there's still something wonderfully vintage about it, don’t you think? 💅🍭🌊
After a beautiful afternoon soaking up the Deal sunshine (because darling, as every good queen knows, a little bit of Vitamin D never hurts!), we treated ourselves to an afternoon tea fit for royalty! You just can't have a day trip without a delectable little treat, can you, my loves? Sandwiches, scones, cream, cakes, the lot! And, of course, the most exquisite of teas, brewed and served to perfection! We sipped on our teas as we gazed at the majestic sunset casting a golden hue over the waves and reflecting on the magic of the day. It truly was a delightful day in every sense! ✨💖👑
But don’t worry, the fun wasn’t over yet. Because, after that spectacular afternoon tea, we headed for the theatre! You know me and my theatre, darlings. I just can't resist a good show! The community theatre was in full swing, hosting a delightful amateur ballet performance, filled with so much heart, soul and genuine love for the art form. As much as I love my elaborate pink tutus and glamorous costumes, darling, I just adore the simple joy and beautiful grace of ballet, don’t you? Seeing those dancers on stage, their faces lit up with pure passion, I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and happiness that was simply contagious! 🩰🎭✨
And what would a day be without a bit of shopping, wouldn’t you say? A quick meander through Deal's lovely shops filled with charming vintage finds and unique crafts left me positively enchanted. I always have a hankering for those pretty hand-painted ornaments and little pieces of delicate vintage jewellery that would fit perfectly into a collector's cabinet. It wouldn't be Pink Tutu Sparkles without a little sparkle, darling, and there is nothing more beautiful than vintage jewellery to enhance the sparkle. 💎✨
Oh, I almost forgot! On our journey back home, I discovered a cute little horse farm where I simply had to stop for a chat with the resident horses! Those beautiful creatures, majestic and friendly, and not afraid to steal a piece of sugar right from your hands, like a bunch of sweet little rascals! If Buttercup wasn’t my ride for the day, darling, I’d definitely be begging one of these fine creatures to let me take it home. And perhaps wear a pink tutu of my own, wouldn’t that be lovely? 🦄🐎
