A Trip To Remember
This adventure started with a joyful journey, of course! I always opt for the most enchanting form of transportation, which is either a magical train journey (hello, first-class carriages and comfy seats) or a picturesque gallop on horseback. This time, I took the train. I’m not saying I was dressed to the nines, but my suitcase was absolutely crammed with fabulous outfits.
Arriving in Birmingham, I felt that sparkle in the air. You can practically feel the magic that pulsates through this historic city, it's positively contagious. My trusty suitcase, emblazoned with my iconic pink tutu logo, made its way into my lovely Airbnb in the centre of the city. I quickly settled in and decided to venture out in search of some of that famous Birmingham charm!
Birmingham: A Shopping Wonderland!
A shopping spree was the obvious next step! My love of clothes, especially anything in that stunning shade of pink, is no secret. I was thrilled to find an incredible independent boutique, full of vintage gems, that housed a whole collection of tulle! I immediately envisioned my next show-stopping tutu - the perfect blend of sparkly tulle, pink feathers and maybe a touch of leopard print. A true masterpiece in the making! I spent what felt like an eternity in that shop. Don't worry, I left my credit card at home and bought absolutely everything on an 'I'll buy it next time' basis.
Birmingham's Artistic Heart
Next, I was drawn to the captivating energy of the Birmingham Hippodrome. Oh, it's truly a spectacular theatre! I was mesmerized by its opulent Victorian architecture. It felt like I'd stepped back in time, and honestly, who doesn't love a touch of that!
I had heard so much about Birmingham’s impressive art scene, so I decided to pay the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery a visit. The incredible selection of contemporary and traditional artwork really took my breath away. And can we talk about the fashion displays?! So inspired! You know I took countless pictures. Every selfie was a testament to my sartorial brilliance and my dedication to my pink tutu cause.
Birmingham Eats: Tutu-licious Delights
My day would not be complete without a true treat - and Birmingham certainly didn't disappoint in the food department. After a delicious (and surprisingly pink!) afternoon tea at the Grand Hotel, I went for a fantastic Indian curry, packed with spicy flavours. They don't do anything half-hearted here. Oh, and you should see their desserts! A feast for the senses and a beautiful symphony of sugary goodness! Honestly, I haven't had so many delightful treats since a particularly magical visit to a vintage candy store.
A Night Under the Stars
And to finish off a day overflowing with happiness, I took to the stage for my performance. This time, it was at the city’s iconic Glee Club, a space brimming with that vibrant nightlife energy that I absolutely adore. You can imagine I absolutely blew the crowd away with my signature pink tutu number. Everyone was absolutely spellbound by my shimmering, sparkling ensemble, which just goes to show that a well-chosen pink tutu can turn heads wherever you go. I was, as always, a whirlwind of shimmering sequins and infectious energy.

And there you have it, my dear friends. Birmingham left an undeniable sparkle in my heart. I had so many beautiful encounters, saw so much beauty and, of course, spread a lot of pink tutu joy. Honestly, Birmingham is a haven for creativity and the sheer joy of living, a perfect city for those who appreciate the finer things in life.
