Hello darlings! It's your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles, back from a whirlwind trip to the glorious, vibrant North, and feeling positively pink-tastic! Today, Iâm going to tell you all about the fabulous time I had in Ashton, sharing tips on travel, fashion, and of course, where to get your hands on the most exquisite pink tutus!
You might know that Ashton, with its charming Victorian streets and bustling markets, has been on my âPink Tutu Destinationsâ list for ages. But letâs be honest, a gal like me, who practically lives in her tutu, has to travel in style, right? So, I traded the glitzy stage lights for the romantic rhythm of a railway carriage! Now, I love a good journey by train â youâve got ample time to perfect your make-up, slip into a comfy (but oh-so-chic) outfit, and catch up on your favourite magazines, with a steaming cuppa and some biscuits of course!
After a delightful journey with my trusty travel case, crammed full of shimmering gowns, sequined jackets, and of course, my pink tutus, I arrived in Ashton ready to embrace its magic. First stop? Shopping! (Did I mention my love for tutus? You could say itâs borderline obsession, darling.) Now, the folks in Ashton were absolutely clued up when it came to pink! I discovered a fantastic little shop, full of pastel-tinted delights, where I picked up a gorgeous, billowing, pink tutu with a sparkly bodice. Perfect for a little performance later on!
I simply had to explore Ashton's streets! There are so many interesting little boutiques and vintage shops, tucked away in the corners of narrow lanes. A proper feast for the eyes! I felt inspired by the unique vintage clothes, charming little cafes with delicious cakes, and even discovered a shop selling exquisite fabrics â something I just had to share with my scientific side back home in Derbyshire!
As the afternoon bathed the town in warm sunshine, I headed for Ashton's famous market square. The aroma of freshly-baked pastries and spices filled the air, while the lively sounds of local musicians created a cheerful backdrop for the buzzing marketplace. I spotted a group of children happily dancing along to the music, and I simply couldnât resist joining in!
Now, it was time to put my new pink tutu to the test, ready to shimmy and shake in the spotlight at the Ashton Music Hall. Oh, darling, the venue was fantastic â intimate and full of energy. The audience, they were just fabulous. So much warmth and excitement! My performance was pure pink-tastic energy, combining elements of classical ballet, contemporary dance, and just a touch of theatricality. And yes, letâs face it, a whole lot of sparkling glitter!
And of course, it wasn't just about me! I was thrilled to see the wonderful crowd enjoying the atmosphere and soaking up the fun, wearing everything from sparkly tutus to rainbow-bright outfits. After all, pink is a universal language!
But darling, even the most glamorous of queens has to rest her legs sometimes. So, I sought refuge in the luxurious âPink Parlourâ - a delightful cafĂ© with walls adorned with the most vibrant shades of pink imaginable. You could practically smell the magic in the air! Sipping a delicious strawberry and elderflower latte, surrounded by twinkling fairy lights, I felt pure contentment! You wouldnât believe how many pink tutus were hanging around that place - so obviously it was a must-visit for a true tutu aficionado!
And then, the icing on the cake â a gorgeous, full moon rising over the hills, illuminating Ashtonâs charming skyline. A magical ending to a perfect day, darling!
My journey to Ashton wasn't just about tutus, sparkly dresses, and performance - although those are definitely some of the highlights! It was about the joy of exploring, meeting new people, and bringing my unique blend of glitz and grace to a beautiful place. And who knows, maybe Ashton will see a permanent Pink Tutu Sparkles appearance sometime soon! After all, darling, when there's a chance to spread some pink joy and glamour, it's simply my duty.
