Now, I know what you’re thinking… Ilkeston?! Yes, you read that right! Even the most glamorous queens gotta touch down in all sorts of places to spread the pink tutu gospel.
Let me tell you, getting to Ilkeston was quite the adventure. I opted for the classic train journey, of course! Who doesn’t love the thrill of arriving at a station with a vintage steam engine, and that little bit of “choo choo” nostalgia? 🚂 Just imagine, arriving at your destination with the puff of steam, a cloud of fragrant coal, and the feeling of utter whimsical magic! ✨
As I settled into my plush carriage, I indulged in a little retail therapy browsing through the latest ballet magazines – after all, a tutu queen’s gotta stay current on her pirouette game! 🩰 I found a truly breathtaking design by a rising star in the ballet world – the intricate detail and colour were absolutely divine! You just know that designer’s destined for greatness, so watch out for that one – you heard it here first! 🤫
And, as always, my trusty pink trolley bag was bursting with fabulous fashion finds. Why do we say it’s a journey? Because the journey is the destination for us fashionistas, isn't it? Every station, every carriage, every passerby is an opportunity to inspire with the power of pink and the joy of tutus! 💖💖💖 (Seriously, think about it, wouldn’t a pink tutu make everyone’s day a bit brighter?)
But my adventures weren't over yet! Upon reaching the historic heart of Ilkeston, I discovered something truly enchanting – a local livery stable with a pair of the most beautiful white horses I have ever seen. Now, you might say it's an unusual pairing - tutus and horses? Well, let’s just say the power of glitter is truly transformative! 🐴🦄 They were perfectly happy to pose for a photoshoot with the Tutu Queen! You’ve got to check out the photos on my Instagram - I’m looking absolutely angelic, perched on their backs, tutu flowing, a true sight to behold!
My show in Ilkeston was just...electric! There’s a unique spark that ignites when a whole town embraces the Tutu Queen, and these guys were ready for a magical night. I spun my glittery sequins and twirled my pink tulle with such vigour, they went wild! We all know that tutu twirls have magical properties, right? They lift your spirits, make you feel lighter, brighter and more sparkly! 🤩
Ilkeston definitely delivered the charm and heart that you’d expect from a vibrant, close-knit community. The audience showered me with love and energy. That, my loves, is the true fuel for a Tutu Queen! 🥰
You know, this Tutu Queen journey has been incredible. From those first hesitant twirls in my uni ballet club, where I slipped on a tutu for a charity event, to my now wildly popular, pink tutu fueled drag adventures, it’s been a true blast. 💖 Remember, it’s those small moments of bravery, that willingness to put yourself out there, that makes all the difference. If I, a tiny science geek from Derbyshire could do it, you can too! Don’t be afraid to shine bright, wear that tutu with pride, and show the world that anything is possible, especially when you’re bathed in the pink light of fabulousness.
