Ooh darling! Fancy seeing you here! It's your fabulous friend Pink Tutu Sparkles, bringing you all the juicy gossip, glamorous insights and sartorial sass from the fabulous world of drag! Today I'm honoring the delightful town of Kenton with my presence. Ooh, I do love Kenton! So much history in this gorgeous little town!
But, before we get into the sparkly details, allow me to introduce myself for the one or two of you who've fallen into this glorious pink wonderland and need a bit of an intro!
My name is Alex. Yes, it's true, my drag name is a little *more flamboyant. Just a tiny bit.* By day, I'm a humble lab technician, putting my chemistry skills to good use by making sure those fabulous fabrics you love never lose their shimmer! But when the lab closes for the night...well...the pink tutus come out!
For those of you who aren't in the know... ooh, let's be honest, who *isn't in the know?!* - I fell into this life by complete accident. I was studying science, which is fun, I love chemistry, *you wouldn't believe some of the experiments we did!* ...anyway...my other life was ballet! *Of course! I love it! Every twirl, every graceful leap is an artform! * You know me, always chasing those twirling dreams!
And that brings us to my ultimate love affair with tutus... The whole story is absolutely legendary, I tell everyone it is! I was volunteering for charity and had to try on a tutu! It was love at first glance, not at first sight! Because that is the point, darlings. My first love was twirling. I felt so good! It was life-changing... that moment in the costume room was my calling... and Pink Tutu Sparkles was born.
Now... where was I? Right! Kenton! Ooh darling, I have so much to tell you. Kenton is fantastic, and I've had the *best time! Kenton...you've just stolen my heart! Kenton and its inhabitants have really embraced my pink-tutu fashion, I even found a dress shop that sells them, well almost, anyway, it will stock my next collection. And who knows, maybe it'll get them completely hooked on the sparkle! Kenton is a wonderful little town! Let's see if I can find a *perfect little cottage on the outskirts of Kenton...maybe in pink?!*
Right! What was fantastic was that the journey got here. As soon as the little train left Derbyshire, my heart started pumping! The whole journey... you know, the way you see the fields go past, how you can see the little sheep in their pastures and smell the fresh air... ooh it was a lovely train ride! You don't get that traveling in the sky. Kenton has always been a destination!
First of all... of course! I have a whole itinerary planned. We went to the town hall, I took a little look inside... and guess what...it was perfect for my show, with all its fancy rooms! Oh! I bet there were so many great parties held here over the years! So many of my little fans would be here...just to dance with me...
I also got a little bit lost! I always say you never know a town properly unless you wander... I took a meander down little alleyways...it reminded me of the Derbyshire countryside. I met the nicest couple...they own the biggest antique shop, well not really that big...but full of amazing things! I bought this cute little pink teapot and a pink vase and a stunning mirror with pink paint detailing darling, I know I don't need anymore pink objects! It just fits so beautifully in my pink palace... But honestly, can you have *too much pink?* Kenton just is that gorgeous a town, don't you think?!
You have to take a trip to The Little Theatre! It's a little haven for all things art...ooh I just felt at home . We've already got plans to make our own little spectacular in the town. Just think... "Kenton's Pinkest Gala," starring... me, of course! It's sure to be the highlight of Kenton's history. Can't you imagine it?! Oh the joy and pink delight.
And, my dears...we simply cannot leave Kenton before visiting their famous...well...there is really nothing else that quite compares!* Their wonderful little garden centre, it is like a wonderland ...with those luscious green lawns and glorious flowerbeds... and their adorable collection of rare plants. And I just found this fabulous *tutu there...pink of course!* My darling! It was so delicate, just waiting for a fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkles to make it sparkle.
Now for something extra special about Kenton... there's this stunning pink-coloured horsestable. It's just magical, tucked away at the heart of this gorgeous town, and as a lover of horses, you'd never believe it. My favorite is their star attraction a beautiful pink racehorse! A true masterpiece of equine beauty! I told the manager that if this horse is not wearing a pink tutu... oh, he has already bought a few and *he was happy to be in my show!* They just love the color! I took some amazing tutu-tastic photos and shared them with the world! Kenton is *going to love my snaps and if you see it...oh darling, get there, find a photo spot, and snap a pic... and share! That’s all part of my campaign...make the world more pink.
Kenton is the perfect town, you could stay there forever with all it's amazing little nooks and crannies, its history and stunningly friendly people, I could honestly spend months just exploring, and it has definitely given me lots to blog about. I am off, on to a show... and then... wait for it...drum roll.... a surprise performance, *well * I can’t say more.
