Hello darlings! Welcome to Pink Tutu Sparkles' blog, where every day is a celebration of tutus, sparkle, and all things fabulous. Today is a super-special day because, for post number 6420, I'm whisking you all off to the stunning Lake District to join me at Kendal Calling Festival! It's a music festival that promises three days of great music, fabulous festival fun, and, of course, plenty of opportunities for me to unleash my pink-tutu-tastic sparkle!
As you all know, my travels are fuelled by the pure love of life and the desire to spread joy and pink tutus far and wide. Now, a regular gal might take the easy route and travel by car. But Pink Tutu Sparkles? I went old-school glamorous, of course. I took the train! Imagine the spectacle! A shimmering, pink-tutu clad drag queen perched amongst the quiet commuters, a flash of colour amidst a sea of beige suits. Honestly, I couldn't help but wonder if my presence wouldn't inspire a spontaneous conga line - wouldn't that be just delightful?!
The Lake District greeted me with a breath of fresh air and panoramic views, all the way to the fells. And to be perfectly honest, the view was just as stunning as the journey itself! Oh, I can't help but imagine myself prancing through fields of daffodils, all twirling in my fabulous pink tutu... but that’s a thought for another day.
Today, it's all about the festival! Kendal Calling has promised some amazing acts, and I’m so excited to dance and sing along. You know I love my live music, and after performing myself all week, there's nothing more glorious than enjoying someone else's talent and the amazing energy of a festival crowd. And, let me tell you, with a Pink Tutu Sparkles in the house, you just KNOW the energy's gonna be extra electric!
But the true heart of Kendal Calling goes beyond the music, and for me, that means exploring all that this magical festival has to offer. We’re talking incredible artisan markets bursting with unique treasures (perhaps a little something pink and sparkly for my collection!), mouthwatering food stalls tantalising taste buds (did someone say pink-frosted cupcakes? Divine!), and even a delightful family zone for little ones to revel in their own fairy-tale. Now, I’m not saying it'll convince everyone to wear tutus... but hey, maybe, just maybe, they’ll see the wonder in embracing a touch of whimsical fun!
It’s times like this when I really remember what makes Pink Tutu Sparkles shine - it's not about the sparkly gowns and perfect makeup (although those are lovely too!). It’s about sharing my love for the little things - the silly joy of a good dance, the pure delight of watching someone discover a new talent, the simple act of putting a smile on someone’s face. You see, a little bit of sparkle goes a long way.
And it doesn't end there, my darlings! Because this trip to the Lakes is about so much more than just a festival. It’s about connecting with this breathtaking landscape and discovering all the hidden treasures nestled in the hills and valleys. I'm picturing picturesque walks amidst the towering mountains, soaking in the serenity of the shimmering lakes, and perhaps, just perhaps, a little ballet class in the middle of a field... who knows, the inspiration might just spark a whole new set of twirls for my upcoming performances!
Kendal Calling, prepare to be charmed! Pink Tutu Sparkles is coming for you, and it’s going to be pink, fabulous, and filled with as much joy as my little tutu-loving heart can contain.
