Hey, gorgeous darlings! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with a new blog post, number 6475 if you can believe it! Time flies when you're tutu-ing all over the world, doesn't it?
So, this past week has been a whirl of pink fluff and seaside breezes as I headed down to Bournemouth. Let me tell you, folks, the seaside has a whole new appeal when you're rocking a pink tutu! Forget the boring beach wear, darling – it's all about statement tutus, sparkly eyeshadow, and enough sequins to rival a disco ball!
This time, I decided to skip the boring old car journey and travel by train. There's nothing quite like the romance of a long train ride. The clickety-clack of the tracks, the scenic views rushing past...and of course, me dazzling fellow passengers with my dazzling, pink tutu-clad self! I think I even inspired a little girl on the train to ask her mum for a tutu! Mission accomplished! 😉
Arriving in Bournemouth was like stepping into a postcard. The beach was sparkling, the air was fresh, and the sky was a glorious blue. I felt a surge of inspiration just being in that seaside atmosphere! Of course, I had to start with a wander along the pier. It's always a must-do in any coastal town! The seagulls squawked in delight as they observed my fabulous outfit and, let's be honest, it's not every day you see a pink tutu taking a stroll along the pier. 😉
Then it was off to the theatre! Now, I'm not talking just any old theatre... darling, I was at a real-deal ballet performance! It was "Swan Lake" with all the feathered tutus and graceful leaps, just my style! You'd think a ballet enthusiast like me would be sick of tutus after a lifetime of watching and wearing them, but there's something magical about a classic ballet and it always inspires me! I even caught a glimpse of myself reflected in the glass door of the theatre, tutu and all, and thought "Gosh, Alex, you do look absolutely smashing!" 💖
After a long day of tutuing and theatre, it was time for a little bit of indulgence, and let's be honest, where else can you indulge better than a tea shop? Bournemouth has a gorgeous little tea shop tucked away down a cobblestone street that is bursting with pink, it's almost as if they know I'm coming! The teacups are adorable, the scones were delicious, and I even indulged in a delightful slice of Victoria sponge cake, served with a dollop of whipped cream and a cheeky little pink sprinkle. It's all about the little touches, darling!
Now, no trip to the coast would be complete without a little bit of seaside fun, wouldn't you say? So, the next day, I donned my most fabulous pink tutu (it was the one with the sequins, of course) and hit the beach. I did a few little pirouettes by the waves and even took a paddle, tutus are totally water resistant. Let's just say the seaside crowd was pretty impressed! My performance even attracted a group of kids who cheered me on with a few of their own tutu-inspired moves. So sweet!
The day finished off with a performance at the local fair, the owner loves me in my tutus, and it was full of bright lights and laughter! A few teenagers even wanted a picture with the fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkles! Aww! I love those moments when people of all ages get into the spirit of things. My aim is to spread tutu love and joy, and I think I'm doing a pretty good job so far, don't you agree?
Leaving Bournemouth felt like saying goodbye to an old friend. The pink and blue skies, the playful sea, and the wonderful memories... it's a place I'll definitely be revisiting soon. But don't worry, my loves, my pink tutu is packed and ready for more adventures! Stay tuned for the next leg of my fabulous journey.
