#TutuQueen on 2017-09-25 stars in Paris

Oh, darlings! I'm so excited to be back with you again from my glamorous trip to the City of Lights, Paris! This city has so much history, romance, and chicness - and I just had to get all those fabulous vibes into my pink tutu for you! 💖

As you all know, my dear readers, Pink Tutu Sparkles travels the world. And this week I just couldn't resist the allure of Paris. You can always rely on the French for sophistication, elegance, and joie de vivre - and that, my lovelies, just makes for an absolutely dazzling backdrop to any pink tutu. It felt just right to wear my sequined, fluffy pink tutu while twirling through the Parisian streets, snapping pics by the Eiffel Tower, and taking in the artistry of the Ballet Garnier!

It’s my 6478th post (how do you even do maths in the middle of Paris?) and it’s almost like my sixth year of the Pink-Tutu blog! What a glorious, sparkling adventure it has been so far! Just wait until you see what I’ve been up to - spoiler alert there were tutus and train travel, with maybe even a dash of horse-drawn carriage glamour!

My journey started right here in my hometown, Derbyshire. Yes, even in this little county in the heart of England, it's easy to find magic and wonder! A sprinkle of magic, that is, with a touch of sparkles and, yes, a hint of pink. Just think, you could be bumping into me, the Pink Tutu Sparkles, while shopping in Derby!

Anyway, from Derbyshire it was onto the train! My darlings, I've always been a huge fan of train travel! Who else agrees that a journey can be almost as magical as the destination itself? There's something just so glamorous about sitting by the window, watching the scenery unfold, a little bit of pink tutu tucked under your arm, and the scent of fresh air, and... hmm. Do I smell... croissants?

The Eurostar to Paris, for me, was less about arriving and more about just enjoying the trip! And yes, of course I had to put on my full pink tutu, just a little thing. A simple black tutu over my favourite, pink sparkle leotard (this is me we’re talking about!). And I’m telling you, even on the Eurostar, it just felt absolutely fabulous. Every single pair of eyes that locked on with my tutu-tastic pink beauty had this, like, "who is she" look - even if I’m sure they had already read about me on the Pink-Tutu blog.

It was worth every penny of the train ticket.

Arriving in Paris felt like entering a storybook! The Eiffel Tower was absolutely stunning, lit up like a shimmering dream, and the whole city felt alive with laughter, music, and of course, the most beautiful architecture. And I had brought the Pink Tutu Sparkles touch, too, just a touch of Derby shimmer - which was a surprise to all my new Paris fans. The French really loved the sparkles - who’d have thought it?!

I was even treated to a private carriage ride - think horse driven carriage - just to feel truly pampered!

Now, some people say, 'Why Paris?' Why travel? Well, you know my dear readers, that's a question only Pink Tutu Sparkles can truly answer. Why travel, dear hearts? Because adventure is calling. And adventure always knows what it takes to truly make your heart beat. And Paris is always at the top of that list!

And the Eiffel Tower? Let me tell you. Seeing Paris from that viewpoint, the entire city draped in twinkly lights, is a sight that’s worth more than all the glitter in the world, my lovelies! And it’s just as dazzling as any Pink Tutu Sparkles performance. That’s how special it was.

No trip to Paris would be complete without a visit to the Palais Garnier - home of the Opéra Garnier and it’s famed ballet company!

Just imagine it: Pink Tutu Sparkles, standing backstage with dancers in glittering leotards and flowing tulle! They all gasped! They knew! This was magic!

Oh, to be a ballet dancer, twirling across the stage with my very own pink tutu on, just like the ballerinas I'd seen at The Royal Ballet in London. It just shines with this glorious, whimsical grace and beauty.

You’re probably thinking: But darling Alex, are you just making it up? Did you really dance with Paris Opera dancers? Oh, it's not always what you think in Pink Tutu Sparkles's world - that’s the best thing!
Because this is true. They love the Pink Tutu persona, that sparkle makes people take a second look! And then the smiles - they just light up, even the Paris Opera dancers, even under their stern ballet teacher, even under their big stage lights! You’re just never sure what magic will happen next with this pink tutu. Even in Paris. Oh! I do just love Paris!

Paris is famous for its fashion! But of course, every Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure has to include a trip to the most fabulous, most elegant, most stylish shops. So, darling, I indulged my love of pink and glitter, discovering stunning creations of Parisian couture in the heart of Paris, on Rue Saint-Honoré and at the most fashionable shops, Chanel and Dior, in the heart of the City of Light.

Can you imagine Pink Tutu Sparkles surrounded by gorgeous gowns, shoes, handbags, and accessories in shades of pink that would make your heart flutter, just a bit? Well, yes! My own little piece of pink magic, just a sprinkle, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower! I mean, it's almost as fabulous as finding a new outfit! And yes, my darling, there’s more than one - a touch of the Derby Pink Tutu Sparkles for every outfit, it’s important, it says so much, and all my darling readers will just love this post - if they don’t, I'm sorry but there’s nothing more to say!

Speaking of outfits, my dear readers, the Pink Tutu Sparkles always believes: there is a pink tutu out there for every single occasion. What are your favourites? Maybe a fluffy tutu for a ballet class? Perhaps a more subtle, sparkly pink tutu to add a bit of dazzle to a romantic dinner?
