#TutuQueen on 2017-10-03 stars in Stockport

Hello darlings, it's your Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and welcome back to my blog! It's post number 6486, and today's adventures take us to the enchanting, industrial town of Stockport! You know I'm a firm believer that you can find the magic anywhere, and today I'm here to show you that pink tutu-wearing brilliance exists even beyond the West End stage.

Oh, the journey was quite the trip! You see, dear readers, I prefer my travel a little old-fashioned, a touch whimsical, so naturally, I made my way to Stockport by horse-drawn carriage. I felt like I was stepping out of a Jane Austen novel! (Okay, perhaps I romanticize it a bit. It was a charming horse and cart, though!)

Now, let's talk tutus. Because you know what? We’re ALL tutu-worthy. It’s all about the confidence, darlings, the strut, the sparkle that radiates from within. Today’s look is my "Candy floss dreamscape," a cascade of blush pink tulle with a glittery heart applique (did I mention hearts are very me? ) and custom sequined slippers in a shade I like to call "rosewater-kissed rosewood" (just a little tutu fabulous).

I found myself surrounded by the vibrant hustle and bustle of Stockport, a town rich in history, yet also humming with a modern energy. And, wouldn't you know it, I ran into a charming little shop called "The Fabric Emporium" - a literal paradise for my tutu-loving heart! I snagged some shimmering rose-gold lace (perfect for an upcoming number I'm working on, "Tutu and Lace") and even scored a fantastic deal on a beautiful velvet ribbon for a little accessory-making.

Now, I know what you’re thinking – a pink tutu in a small town? I assure you, the magic of tutus is contagious. Just like my friend Sarah, a local artist who spends her days working on intricate oil paintings, then transforms into "The Glittering Muse" for her burlesque performances every Friday night at the local theatre. You see? Magic exists in unexpected places!

We headed to a ballet performance that night, and let me tell you, I had my inner ballerina leaping for joy. There's nothing quite like the effortless grace and power of a ballet performance, especially when performed with such passion and detachment.

Oh, but there's more, darlings! I also met the kindest group of local crafters who called themselves "The Stockport Stitch-Up." They have a real love for fashion, crafting beautiful garments, and creating tutus that could make a unicorn cry. You bet your tutus I joined them for a tutu workshop (pink and rainbow tulles only!), and we had a fabulous time swapping ideas and creating gorgeous wearables that brought the bright sparkle to everyone's faces.
