Now, getting to Colchester was a whole adventure in itself! My journey started in Derbyshire, where I'm lucky enough to call home (though, frankly, it doesn't have enough pink). Instead of hopping on the usual train, I decided to do things a little differently this time.

Speaking of my Colchester look, let's talk fabulousness! 💄👑 My darling friend, Penny, who owns a wonderful vintage shop in Derby, helped me put together an ensemble fit for a Queen! A floor-length, shimmering pink gown adorned with silver sequins, a custom-made pink tutu with fluffy, feather trims, and sparkling pink platform shoes with the highest heels imaginable (because a true Queen never compromises on her sparkle!).
It was an outfit that stopped traffic, or rather, it slowed the flow of traffic... because everyone was stopping to take a selfie with the Pink Tutu Queen herself! You see, darlings, sometimes you just need a bit of sparkle to brighten your day. 😊
Now, once I arrived in Colchester, it was time for the main event! 🎭 You know how much I adore ballet, so when I heard that there was a beautiful old theatre in town, I knew I had to perform there. This was no ordinary theatre, mind you, it had the most ornate interior, with stained glass windows and elegant balconies - absolutely stunning! The audience was just as charming, ready to be mesmerised by my sparkling performance.
The energy in the theatre was incredible! Everyone cheered and clapped, their smiles as wide as mine. I think I felt that love from the moment I stepped onto the stage in my sparkly pink gown. Of course, no trip to Colchester is complete without visiting the amazing Roman ruins! Talk about history, right? Imagine, hundreds of years ago, this beautiful place was filled with Romans, bustling markets, and bustling life! It made me wonder if they ever had pink tutus… I guess it's time to head back to the lab, and create a fabric time machine. (I told you, scientist by day, sparkling drag queen by night!). 😜
Now, Colchester might be famous for its history, but what it really needed was a little more pink. And darling, I did my part! I bought a bag of bright pink ribbons from the local market and started tying them to the railings around the Roman ruins! What's a pink tutu Queen without a little pink-ing the world, right? 💖🎀
