Pink Tutu Sparkles Takes Edmonton!

Post 6521

Hello, darling dears! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, bringing you another fabulous instalment from the ever-growing adventures of your favourite pink-tutu-wearing drag queen! I can't believe it's already November - the days are getting shorter, the air is crisp and there's a hint of winter in the breeze. But that's no reason to stop shimmering and shining! And trust me, darlings, this Edmonton trip is glowing!

It's all happening here, in the heart of the Great White North. After a delightful train journey - all crisp white linens and that wonderful sense of adventure, I'm here to conquer Edmonton's stage, bringing my sparkle and a touch of Derbyshire magic to Canada! This town knows how to have a good time, and I’m just so excited to be sharing my passion for dance, drama, and oh yes, PINK with these wonderful people.

You know I love to get out and about and explore, so let me take you on a whirl through this magnificent Canadian city. I've seen the iconic, dramatic Muttart Conservatory. That stained glass dome! Talk about an architectural masterpiece. Oh, and the butterflies - they're as busy and colourful as I am on a Saturday night! We practically had a little ballet in the gardens, they were so drawn to the pink.

Speaking of, oh my darling, I had a delightful, elegant luncheon with the ladies at a cafe overlooking the city's majestic skyline. We sipped our cocktails and had a grand chat about all things fashion, from the latest runway trends to the joys of a perfectly constructed tulle gown - a subject I think we can all agree is always at the top of our list! We even had a mini fashion show, showcasing our own fabulous styles. Let’s just say the compliments on my custom-made pink tutu dress were flying like the Canadian geese!

Naturally, no trip to Edmonton would be complete without a visit to the Edmonton Ballet! You see, I've always been an admirer of the graceful form of the ballet dancer and let me tell you - it was just magnificent. I saw 'Cinderella' - oooh la la! the story was delightful, the costumes divine, and the dancing - truly breathtaking. We’re both a bit clumsy when it comes to dancing, but that didn’t stop the tutus and I having a grand old time in the audience. It reminded me how much joy can be found in the simplest pleasures - an excellent ballet class before a magnificent performance with my own ballet-loving buddies was pure delight!

And, of course, what's a pink-loving gal to do but hit up the boutiques! You see, darlings, shopping's a great form of stress relief. The delightful shop assistants showed me the most glorious selection of pink attire. It was like a wonderland, a pink explosion, and you'll never believe what I discovered... an adorable new pink tutu! The frills, the layers, the pink! It was love at first sight.

Later that night, I brought my fabulous new tutu and a bit of Derbyshire magic to a fabulous event. I got my sparkles on, dazzled everyone with a dance performance in front of an absolutely roaring crowd! You know what's a superb way to wrap up a day of dance and pinkness? An extravagant meal with a decadent pink dessert - what's not to love about the sweet life?

But it's time to sign off for now. You'll be seeing more Edmonton adventures coming soon. You won’t want to miss the fabulously dramatic finale and some behind-the-scenes sneak peeks coming right up!

Keep those tutus twinkling, dears, and remember, life's too short to be anything but sparkly and pink!

Love, Pink Tutu Sparkles xoxo
