As you all know, I absolutely love to travel, and finding new places to perform in a town like Waterlooville just tickles my fancy! It's not just the fabulous venue (which was truly amazing, by the way, a little theatre with gorgeous old-world charm!), it’s also about the thrill of discovering somewhere new! You just never know what magical memories await.
Waterlooville… oh Waterlooville, where do I even start? I’m a Derbyshire lass through and through, and I must say, this little town in Hampshire reminded me a little bit of home – those quintessential English streets with those charming brick houses… you know what I mean?! 🥰
As a big-city queen, I felt like I stepped back in time. In a good way, of course! It felt so cosy and friendly! I even popped into the local tea shop for a cuppa, complete with a tiny plate of scrumptious shortbread biscuits! Absolutely perfect after a tiring journey. You know me, darlings, a queen’s gotta keep those energy levels topped up! 😉
Now, let's talk travel! Did you know I get to see the countryside at its finest on my journeys? I just adore riding the rails – there’s nothing quite like sitting by the window with a hot beverage and watching the scenery glide past. Plus, it’s so glamorous! Just me, my pink tutu, and the rhythmic rattle of the train. It truly feels like I'm on a film set sometimes! ✨
Speaking of glamour… you guessed it, my dearest friends, my dazzling pink tutu was along for the ride! The trip to Waterlooville involved a whirlwind of fashion changes! This time, I was channeling a kind of elegant ballerina look with a long flowing tutu – imagine shades of the softest pink and lavender.
But of course, you know me! I couldn’t just arrive in a pretty pink tutu, right?! I was determined to get a feel for the local fashion scene! So, I decided to add a splash of “Waterlooville" charm to my look. I paired the tutu with a fluffy white sweater that was oh-so-dreamy, topped with a little beret I found in the most darling antique shop. Let’s just say… I was absolutely feeling myself, honey! I mean, a pink-tutu-wearing queen in Waterlooville is something else, don’t you think?! 😜
After I arrived, I just had to head straight to the theatre to check it all out – the lighting, the sound, the stage. Oh, honey! That feeling when you’re walking on stage for the first time in a new space, the energy is just ELECTRIC! It’s my favourite part of travelling.
And the show, darling?! The show was everything. My fabulous setlist was full of hits and I felt a genuine connection with my Waterlooville audience! The whole experience reminded me of how important it is to be able to make people smile through our shared love for performing. There’s just nothing quite like it! 💖
And wouldn’t you know it?! I had the opportunity to meet the absolute sweetest lady while I was there! A real-life ballerina – not a stage performer like me! You see, she was from a nearby village and wanted to chat with a professional about the ins and outs of stage productions. We ended up having tea and cake (because you know I can’t say no to that!) and chatting about everything from her passion for dance to the exciting life of a drag queen. I really enjoyed the chance to exchange ideas and inspirations with a true kindred spirit! It was just magic.✨
She also shared some insider secrets about ballet schools and classes in the area, and told me all about the biggest annual charity ball held in Waterlooville every December! I just know it’s gonna be AMAZING. So, stay tuned because you’re getting the inside scoop about this event straight from me when I get back. 😉
You know me, darling, I just couldn't resist leaving Waterlooville without some gifts! The lady introduced me to the local craft market. What a treat it was! I was instantly in love with everything! I mean, handcrafted candles in all shades of pink, a delightful little hat with some exquisite lavender sprigs, and a super cute tote bag emblazoned with “Waterlooville” in the most darling calligraphy… darling! 😜 It’s all on display at my flat, ready to be showcased in my next blog post, so keep your eyes peeled for the latest additions to my Pink Tutu Sparkles wardrobe! ✨
But the best part? The cutest handmade ballerina ornament – naturally, pink with a fabulous tutu. This baby is now adorning my vanity mirror back home. Every time I look at it, it brings me straight back to my little Waterlooville adventure. It's an absolute reminder that life is a performance! It's about embracing every opportunity with flair and a sprinkle of magic – and, of course, a dazzling pink tutu!
And the best part of it all? My new bestie, the real-life ballerina, inspired me with the cutest new vision – how to wear my pink tutu in everyday life! We were chatting about all things fashion and she suggested incorporating it into everyday outfits. She has the most amazing taste and is going to teach me everything! She promised me to help pick out the most exquisite pieces from local stores to complete the look! Now, that's a collab I'm absolutely excited for!
Before I left, she was super kind and made me the most amazing ballet-inspired playlist with the best classical music – I even have to add her as my music director! And, if she thinks it's good, you know it’s gonna be GOOD! You guys are getting the full blast of all things dance and everything pink with my next big show, just you wait! 😜
And what’s next, you ask? It's onto a whole new exciting adventure, my friends! You know I've gotta make every journey an extravaganza, don’t you?! This time, my plan? A cross-country adventure by... HORSE! Imagine me, your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles, soaring through the countryside in a magnificent pink tutu – the ultimate way to get some fresh air! And, of course, there’s gonna be some gorgeous scenery and possibly a few impromptu performances along the way, maybe even some galloping ballet! What more could a queen ask for?! 💃
