Wrexham, Wonderful Wrexham!

Post Number 6561

Oh, darling, Wrexham! What a fabulous time I had exploring your charming streets and discovering your hidden gems! Honestly, it was like stepping back in time - in the best way possible! You might think I'm bonkers for choosing a train journey over flying, but my dears, I couldn't resist the romantic allure of chugging through the countryside, with my perfectly pink tutu flowing in the wind! And besides, who can resist a good old-fashioned British rail adventure?

As always, I've got all the fashion details for you lovely lot, so prepare to be mesmerised!

This time, I wanted to go for something truly unique and bold, and let's just say, I certainly delivered! My new fuchsia pink tulle tutu was just begging to twirl, and trust me, it had a ball in Wrexham!

The train journey was a pure delight, and it gave me the perfect opportunity to really show off this masterpiece! You wouldn't believe the amount of compliments I received, even from the most stoic-looking gentlemen! Apparently, tutus have a way of making everyone happy, and who am I to argue?

We arrived in Wrexham around midday, and after a spot of tea and crumpets at a darling little cafe, I decided to head straight to the town centre.

You know me, darling - gotta get that fabulous shopping fix! The first thing I noticed were these stunning antique shops tucked away in quiet little corners, brimming with vintage treasures. Honestly, I could have spent hours there, scouring through the clothes racks for hidden gems! Imagine my glee when I unearthed a beautiful sequined top from the 1920s, the colour of sunset skies! It was the perfect piece to complete my "Pink Tutu in Wrexham" look!

But my shopping wasn't over yet! A trip to Wrexham wouldn't be complete without visiting the delightful boutiques. They were full of trendy clothes and accessories that truly made my heart sing. And what's a drag queen without a good hat? I couldn't resist this gorgeous, oversized feathered hat in shades of peach and lavender - the epitome of vintage glamour, darlings!

After a few hours of retail therapy, I was ready to get cultural. Wrexham is known for its historic castle and museum, and I couldn't miss the opportunity to explore both! I must say, that castle was even more impressive than I imagined - imagine all those stories echoing within its ancient walls!

I also found myself drawn to the Wrexham Museum - they have a fascinating exhibition about the town's history and industries. It's remarkable how such a place brimming with history, culture and art still maintains that charming, cosy, and friendly atmosphere.

Naturally, a drag queen can't go without her dose of fabulousness. Thankfully, Wrexham has a vibrant entertainment scene. On Friday evening, I took the opportunity to perform at a bustling local pub. I even decided to have a special show of my "Wrexham Chic" number - you simply had to see my pink sequined bodice against the warm, rustic brick of the pub!

It turned out to be a riot! The crowd was a mix of locals and tourists, and everyone had such a great time! They loved my routine, even though I made them laugh through my attempts at explaining the finer details of British railways!

Speaking of laughter, I can't tell you the joy I had while performing with local talent! We were talking everything from historical architecture to how difficult it was to find decent glitter in the 19th century - a conversation I'm sure a lot of you will identify with!

On my last day in Wrexham, I decided to treat myself to a lovely stroll through the charming streets and parks, basking in the sunny weather and enjoying the friendly vibes.

My, what a delightful city! So full of warmth, history, and, of course, a good dose of glitter!

But before I forget - remember to pop on over to www.pink-tutu.com for my latest adventures. You know the drill - keep it pink and fabulous, my darling!
