Surbiton Sparkle: TutuQueen's Post 6605!

Darling readers,

Grab a cuppa, get comfy, and let TutuQueen whisk you away on another fabulous journey! Today's destination: the charming town of Surbiton! This week's been a whirlwind of tutus, trains, and sparkly performances - a recipe for a truly delightful time, if I do say so myself!

Surbiton called to me with the promise of a beautiful ballet performance at the Rose Theatre. Honestly, it felt like the perfect setting for a TutuQueen adventure. And you know how much I love a good ballet! Remember my first TutuQueen blog post all those years ago, when I described trying on a tutu for a university charity fundraiser? Well, my darlings, that experience sparked something in me. My obsession with these wondrous frocks is now legendary, and I love sharing it with the world.

Anyway, let's get back to Surbiton. I simply couldn't arrive in a normal manner, could I? Oh no, darling, a TutuQueen never travels by any old means! For this particular escapade, I felt drawn to the enchantment of a train journey. Yes, the glorious steam-powered Victorian-era sort! My dear friend Henry helped me procure a first-class ticket. (He does have excellent contacts!) Wearing a bespoke blush pink tutu, naturally, I boarded the gleaming carriages. It felt so dreamy, just like a scene out of a period drama! My fellow passengers were captivated by my outfit, a few even whipped out their phones for a selfie. It was delightful to bring a touch of Pink Tutu Sparkles to their day.

Now, the Rose Theatre in Surbiton! This place is like a breath of fresh air - gorgeous, historical architecture with a lovely welcoming atmosphere. As a huge fan of all things ballet, I felt right at home amidst the beautiful chandeliers and plush velvet seats. The performance was captivating, full of intricate footwork and graceful movement. I swear, I was mesmerized by the choreography. After the show, I dashed backstage and surprised the cast with a bouquet of pink roses. Their eyes lit up, just like the flowers themselves. We talked about ballet, performance, and life on stage, creating a heartwarming connection with these talented artists.

After the ballet, it was time for my very own TutuQueen performance! I booked a little gig at the local pub - a real quaint British pub, with a touch of charm. The crowd was fabulous, they roared with laughter at my witty banter, and they even sang along to my most popular number, โ€œTutu Tangoโ€! After the show, a young girl approached me, clutching a tiny pink tutu, her eyes sparkling with adoration. It warmed my heart. My mission in life, remember? Get everyone in a pink tutu! This sweet little one was a perfect start!

On my travels, I am always inspired by new places and new faces. And Surbiton was no different. It felt like a vibrant and lively little pocket of charm with so much history. But what made the trip truly special, darling, was meeting a group of local seamstresses at the Surbiton Textile Market. These fabulous women were buzzing with creativity! We exchanged stories, design ideas, and fabrics galore. And the best part? They are working with me to create a brand new Pink Tutu Sparkles collection for my next performance! Can you imagine, darling? TutuQueen couture made in Surbiton! What a dream come true!

Darling, I hope you enjoyed reading all about my Surbiton adventures! Until next time, be fabulous, be you, and wear a pink tutu!

Love and glitter,

TutuQueen (Alex)
