Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and guess what? This little queen has been taking a right royal spin around the countryside! ✨
This week, I touched down in the lovely town of Worksop, a proper treat for your little tutu-loving queen! The train journey was absolutely divine. I wore my brand new hot pink fluffy coat (thanks to a fab vintage find in a little Derbyshire antique shop!), a gorgeous shimmering pink blouse and a bright, breezy pink tutu with multi-coloured polka dots. (It’s called the "Whimsical Waltz", and trust me, you haven’t seen anything as vibrant in your life!)
But honestly, the train journey was only the first bit of sparkle in this wonderful Worksop adventure!
My favourite thing about travelling is that I get to see a completely different side of life, beyond the lab. And Worksop? Well, it was bursting with character! I even had a delightful conversation with a lovely old lady who complimented my "lovely sparkly frock" – bless her heart, it warmed this queen's heart right down to her sequined socks. 👠
Let’s talk about this week’s performance…
This week, I graced the stage at the “Worksop Gala,” a fundraising event for a local ballet school. (How fitting, right? 😊) My act was themed around "Alice in Wonderland", but with a Pink Tutu Sparkles twist, of course! My costumes? Think playful polka dots, giant oversized playing card fans, a mad hatter-style top hat covered in fluffy pink feathers, and naturally, my signature pink tutu. The kids loved it! I think they’re gonna remember Pink Tutu Sparkles forever! (Maybe I’ll see some of them wearing tutus one day? 💖)
You know, I always have a ball at these local events, not only for the fun of performing, but for getting the chance to spread the pink tutu love! My aim in life is to get the entire world to embrace the joyful wonder of the pink tutu, and these events are the perfect opportunity.
A trip to Worksop wouldn’t be complete without…
You know, my day wasn’t just all sparkles and performance! Worksop gave me the perfect opportunity to explore the world of fashion! A day spent hopping through charity shops in the quaint streets, then an afternoon of window shopping at the charming independent boutiques! And guess what? I found a couple of absolute treasures! A vintage beaded pink shawl, which is practically begging to be featured in a future performance, and a magnificent silver chain necklace with an antique pink heart pendant, absolutely divine!
Speaking of the pink heart… it reminded me to share something I’ve been thinking about recently: It doesn't matter where you're from, your background, or what your heart's desire is... a pink tutu can be the catalyst for finding the magic and beauty that's right in front of you! Believe me, every single day can be an adventure if you’re open to embracing a little sparkle and colour. 💖
So, next time you find yourself in a small town or a big city, take a chance and see what awaits! Don't let your inner tutu-loving queen be a prisoner of the ordinary! Step outside your comfort zone, try on a pink tutu, dance like nobody’s watching (they're not, because everyone's too busy twirling!), and share the joy! And most importantly?
