Bexleyheath: Pink Tutu Sparkles is Back!

Hello darlings, it’s your favourite pink tutu wearing diva, Pink Tutu Sparkles! 👋

This is post number 6663, can you believe it? The blog is going from strength to strength. Thanks to all you fabulous followers! It really is so exciting seeing this pink tutu community grow, it truly makes me twirl!

This week, Bexleyheath, you're on my itinerary! I've been touring up and down the country, spreading the pink tutu gospel, but Bexleyheath is always a special treat.

Now, I love to travel. The excitement of the journey itself! I’m always torn, though. Trains are great for sightseeing and I love a good gossip with fellow passengers. But if I can get my hands on a good steed, there's nothing better than riding off into the sunset.

Anyway, Bexleyheath has been calling my name for weeks. A lovely, little theatre called The Red Curtain asked me to join their spectacular show this weekend, and honestly, how could I say no?! It's always such a joy performing for these talented little venues.

My costume is nearly finished! Think flowing pink chiffon with a little more sparkle than you’ve ever seen before! I’ve found a pink ballet shoes to match! Honestly, you should see the glitz! There might even be a few surprises! And you can't forget the crown. I'm obsessed with sparkly tiaras – just ask the people of the fabulous costume shop in Notting Hill!

Bexleyheath is just one of the many magical places I’ve visited this year. From the seaside wonder of Brighton to the historic heart of Edinburgh, each destination offers a unique opportunity to spread the message of pink tutu joy. Every single one has made its mark, each a twinkling memory in my glittery heart!

I love sharing these experiences with you. Whether it’s dancing under the disco ball with a glitter bomb, munching on a fancy tea-time macaroon with a fellow tutu-wearing friend, or exploring the ancient castles with my pink tutus flapping in the wind, the journey is a delight! You all know that, of course!

Now, you know I’m all about a bit of bling, but my journey started pretty down-to-earth, if you can imagine. Studying science at the University of Nottingham. Don’t laugh! A little nerdy, sure, but don't forget my scientific understanding makes my glittery gowns fly! Seriously though, I love science! In the labs at the University, we test different fabric. It really is quite amazing, finding out how a material breaks down. And all of this helped me find a fabric that doesn't snag on my tutu while I twirl!

And remember that amazing, shiny tutu I found for charity when I was at university? Well, that’s when I truly got my own brand of sparkle. I had the most fabulous time dancing at a fundraiser – think ‘Swan Lake’ but a whole lot of pink glitter and feathers! Who knew my destiny lay within the billowing pink tulle?

After graduating, it was hard saying goodbye to my lab coats, but a good scientist is also a creative soul. And so, my daytime job at the fabric lab turned into a fantastic opportunity to hone my skills with tutus!

I haven't lost touch with my scientific side! But now, I mix my love of science with sequins and tulle – the best combination you’ll find anywhere!

So here’s the lowdown! The excitement doesn’t end with Bexleyheath. In the next few weeks I’ll be bringing the pink sparkle to the Isle of Wight, Nottingham, and then...well, that’s a secret! And don’t worry, there's a lot more to share: interviews, beauty tips, maybe even a cheeky recipe for those amazing glittery cookies I mentioned a couple of weeks ago!

I hope to see you in the pink tutu soon, wherever you are. But remember, if you’re thinking of travelling to the places on my list, book your tickets! It gets super busy wherever Pink Tutu Sparkles goes!

Now go on, spread the word, find yourself a pink tutu, and let your inner spark fly!

Lots of love,

Your favourite pink tutu princess,

Pink Tutu Sparkles

P.S. If you're ever in Derby, you'll be sure to spot me twirling down the cobbled streets with a bright pink tutu and a feather boa. It's my city! See you there, my dears!
