Wellington Calling! 🩰💖✨ Post 6699: The Pink Tutu Sparkle's Journey to the Land of Kiwis!

Hello darlings, it's your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkle here! 👑 Another day, another dazzling pink tutu, and a whole lot of excitement bubbling over in my sparkly, pink-hued soul. Today I'm buzzing because I've landed in the most fabulous place! Wellington, you've stolen my heart! I tell you, the journey itself was an absolute adventure!

Now, I’m all for taking a plane if need be (and I’ve got to say the flight from Derbyshire was quite a joy ride, what with all the air stewardesses smiling at my little tutu-clad self – I know I'm a vision!). But you all know my heart truly belongs to trains. 🚂 That rhythmic, clackety-clack is just the soundtrack to my inner ballerina, don't you think? So, I had a glorious long train journey from London, making the most of every moment, gazing out at the scenery. Oh, the rolling countryside! So idyllic and pretty! The world looked like a picture postcard and I swear the sheep were smiling at me! I may be wearing my iconic tutu, but I know I must've looked positively mad to all those commuters in their suits! But that’s the thing, darling, I’m all about breaking out of the box, adding a touch of fabulous to everyday life. If it makes people smile, well, that’s just the icing on the cake!

And speaking of icing, the cake was divine! I just had the most scrumptious high tea, served with a smile (and the most beautiful set of bone china, I had to snap a photo!). Of course, it wasn’t just any ordinary high tea! No, no, no! This was a proper English high tea fit for a queen! They even served up little pink sandwiches (how clever!), which were divine with that sweet and savoury taste. Now, you can’t expect a pink tutu queen to go without a pink champagne or two, right? And believe me, they did not disappoint! I could’ve stayed all afternoon! 🥂

The first thing that struck me as soon as I got to Wellington was the energy. There's an electric buzz here that just made my own personal sparkle levels go up! It feels like the place to be, darling, with all that theatre and art! The energy was contagious, it felt like the air itself was dancing! Speaking of dancing, have you seen the beautiful ballet studios here? They are so magnificent and just begging to be danced in. Why, I must admit I can’t wait for a good old-fashioned ballet class, my favourite way to unwind, but I haven't even stepped foot inside yet! The music will be blasting through the studios and everyone will be whirling and twirling, me included, of course. My new little Pink Tutu Sparkle tutu, the one in bubblegum pink and studded with sparkles (oh yes!), just feels meant for this city. And have I mentioned the incredible clothes shops? Darling, the window displays have made me feel like I've stepped into a dreamland! I'm not surprised the city's known for fashion, it truly is inspiring!

And while Wellington is a world away from my beloved Derbyshire (hello Peak District!), the city's friendliness has me feeling at home. It's so much fun bumping into friendly faces at cafes, just chatting away like we’ve known each other for years. The locals have been incredibly welcoming, even though some of them have never seen a pink tutu before, let alone one as bright and flamboyant as mine. It’s great to know they’re all such enthusiastic fans, and now, darling, we can't let our fans down, can we? So, you know what that means, right? I’m bringing my whole Pink Tutu Sparkle act to the stage tonight. Oh, I can’t wait to light up the theatre and shower Wellington with a good dose of that pink tutu sparkle. There’ll be songs, sequins, sparkles (ahem, loads of sparkles!), and even a few surprises, including some sparkly tutus to hand out to the audience. I hope you’ll join me in making this an evening to remember!

Well, that’s it for today, lovelies! Tune in tomorrow for another fabulous instalment of the Pink Tutu Sparkle blog. This is Pink Tutu Sparkle, signing off until next time! 💖✨
