Hello my darling dears! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to take you all on another fabulous journey! This time, we're heading north, to the historic town of Blackburn, a place known for its weavers, its heritage, and, soon enough, your favourite tutu-clad drag queen!

So, what’s the big news? Well, Blackburn, my dears, is hosting a special event this weekend! And, just like the legendary Marie Curie, I’m heading to the centre of the action! They’re holding a charity fair and I’ll be there, twirling, sparkling, and bringing the rainbow magic to the cobbled streets of this historic town!
Blackburn, with its stunning architecture and captivating stories of history, feels like it could have been plucked straight out of a novel by Charles Dickens. You can practically imagine the sound of blacksmiths hammering away at the anvil and feel the hum of looms working tirelessly, just like the beautiful ballet outfits that will soon be sparkling beneath my pink tutu!
I always feel so inspired by towns like Blackburn – a reminder that real stories of grit, passion, and talent exist in every corner of our beautiful country. And believe me, the spark within Pink Tutu Sparkles is already ready to ignite the stage!
Of course, no journey to Blackburn could be complete without a visit to their exquisite Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery! I'm an absolute sucker for historic artifacts. After all, how can a gal wearing a fabulous pink tutu resist an afternoon of cultural immersion?
The museum is housed in a grand old building, dripping in history – and history is my jam! I can imagine it back in the day, with folks whispering about the newest threads, just like I’ll be doing, strutting my stuff and spreading some serious tutu love!
Then it’s onto the main event - the charity fair! I've got a secret - you simply can't have Pink Tutu Sparkles on stage without a splash of colour. My love for the vibrant and beautiful colour pink is no secret – it's a colour that shouts 'JOY!' And when I’m dazzling under the lights, everyone will feel a sprinkle of pink magic!
Talking about colour, this time, I’ll be strutting a new pink tutu! A fluffy confection of feathers and tulle, my new pink masterpiece is inspired by a lovely bouquet of flowers I saw at a flower stall during a recent journey on a train - the vibrant red poppy, the sunshine-yellow sunflower and, of course, the soft, blushing pink rose - just like the rosy cheeks you’ll have after laughing at my silly jokes!
Now, about the science part! By day, you’ll find me back in the lab, working with fabrics and chemicals to make them shine even brighter – because everyone needs a little sparkle in their life, wouldn’t you say?
