Oh darling, hold onto your hats (and your tutus!) because this little Pink Tutu Sparkles is off on another fabulous adventure! Today I’m bringing you the colourful, glittering, totally-tutu-tastic delights of Bath! I’m absolutely living for the Regency era vibes, the stunning architecture, and, of course, the beautiful natural springs bubbling up all over the place. I can practically feel the Georgian spirit oozing from every corner of this charming city!
As always, I arrived in Bath with a whole trousseau of pink tutus ready to paint the town pink, if you will! (Just imagine, everyone in Bath rocking a pink tutu, wouldn’t that be a sight for sore eyes?! Just a dream for this Pink Tutu Sparkles...) Anyway, let’s get to it, darlings, this blog post is overflowing with glorious delights…
Bath Abbey: Pink Tutu Sparkles Meets the Angels 👼
Oh darling, have you ever seen such exquisite, intricate stonework?! I was mesmerised by the detail on the stained glass windows of this historic abbey. (And yes, they were all shimmering in pink hues thanks to my trusty sparkles!) And the best part? I had a chance to see the “Angel of the North” - a magnificent sculpture hanging above the central nave! Oh, it was simply breathtaking! Now, don't think for a second that I wasn't feeling perfectly glamorous amongst the heavenly arches and columns, all dressed in my sparkly pink tutu and my extra-special feather boa (always gotta keep those feathers fabulous!).
Bath Royal Crescent: The Pink Tutu Promenade 👠
Next stop was the majestic Royal Crescent, a beautiful sweeping row of terraced houses that reminded me of an actual princess's residence! All those lovely Palladian details just scream grand and opulent. Naturally, I took the opportunity for a fabulous promenade along the street, twirling and strutting my stuff, my tutu practically a symphony of tulle and swooshes. Let me tell you, a pink tutu never looked more chic amidst all those grand Georgian buildings.
The Roman Baths: A Dip in History (And a Spritzer of Pink!) 🛁
Ah, Bath’s biggest attraction and a highlight of any visit – the ancient Roman Baths! It was incredible to imagine the Romans frolicking in these baths thousands of years ago. (Let’s just say my sparkles definitely took their bathing rituals to a whole new level of glamour, right?) Honestly, darling, it’s hard to imagine anything more historically captivating. Don’t get me wrong, I kept a close eye on those famous pink hot springs. A real Pink Tutu Sparkles always loves a dip in hot springs! The hot springs definitely made my skin feel smooth as silk… almost as silky as my tutu, ha! I mean, we all know pink is the perfect shade for bathtime!
A Shopping Spree Fit for a Queen:
Of course, any trip to a charming little city like Bath wouldn't be complete without a little shopping, would it, darling? And it turns out, Bath has got more boutiques and charming little shops than you can shake a feather boa at! From vintage fashion boutiques to chic home decor shops, there were plenty of opportunities for me to get my retail therapy on, and of course, a Pink Tutu Sparkles just has to have the perfect outfit, so of course, I walked out with a couple of brand new tutus. You never have enough tutus, darling! They are, after all, the cornerstone of my wardrobe (apart from pink sparkly outfits of course, and my new favourite rose-coloured vintage handbag... ).
The Grand Promenade 💃
Well, darling, after all those explorations and that amazing shopping spree, I had to celebrate by taking myself on a real grand Pink Tutu Sparkles Promenade. A bit of a performance and twirl in a public place was in order, after all, to showcase my latest outfits to the world! You'll have to see my photo blog - I just know it's going to be your absolute favourite, the photographs really capture my sassy promenade and the beautiful scenery of Bath... I must say, all those wonderful shops in the city gave me lots of fun ideas for my future outfits! It's going to be such a blast bringing my next act together... and maybe, just maybe, a Bath inspired act would be a total hit!
Tea and Tutu Treats at a Sweet Shop🍰
After all those exciting sights, you'd be right to think that this Pink Tutu Sparkles would need some sugar rush for a change, right? (As you well know, I'm always up for a good cuppa!) I must confess I stumbled upon a charming little tea room, called the “Tutu Tearoom,” - of course, how could I not try it! It was absolutely delightful! The pink decorations, the fluffy clouds of whipped cream on the cakes… and even the teas came in different pink hues. Honestly, you wouldn't believe the glorious pinky-pinkness! I felt as though I was transported into a giant cup of tea! I was practically in pink heaven!
Goodbye, Bath! 💖
Darling, after such a day filled with glorious sparkly sights, it's almost time for me to leave this amazing little city... I know I will have a hard time getting over the Regency style architecture, the wonderful people, and the enchanting history of Bath. It truly felt as if I was back in another era! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you… when I was leaving, a very nice gentleman said he loved my Pink Tutu Sparkle look, and the sparkles I’d put on the shops! It was such a delightful comment… And you know, darlings, I think my work is done here… everyone’s getting used to the sparkly pink looks and feeling a bit pinker - it’s time for me to set off to spread a little more pink and sparkle to the next city on my list!
