Oh, hello my gorgeous glitter-gals and fabulous fellas! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back again with another daily dose of pink-tastic fun. Today, we're in the buzzing borough of Barking, a place that's certainly living up to its name!
This fabulous frock-tastic journey started with a trip on the good old fashioned, steam-powered, choo-choo train. I simply adore the way the rhythmic clickety-clack of the wheels on the tracks gets me in the mood for a glamorous adventure! Let's face it, a train ride just isn't complete without a fabulously fluffy, pink tutu, now is it? I felt like I was waltzing straight out of a Victorian ballet as I admired the rolling fields and charming countryside whizzing by.
Speaking of ballet, darling, Barking might be a bit rough around the edges, but you won't find a lovelier theatre scene! It's not all just the Royal Opera House you know. From little community halls bursting with talent, to more established venues, this place is buzzing with dancers and drama! My heart truly sings when I see such a passionate embrace for the arts, it makes me feel all sparkly inside.
And what do you do after a fantastic show? Shop! Of course! Oh, darling, Barking's independent shops are a treat for the eyes and the heart. You wouldn't believe the glorious, girly things I found. Pink feather boas? Check. Glitter-tastic phone cases? Tick! Even a tutu shop with the most incredible creations – just wait until you see the photos on my Instagram! You can't even imagine the amount of pink tulle and sparkly fabrics I could practically roll in.
But my darlings, you already know I'm all about spreading the tutu love. So, what did I do? Well, after my glamorous shopping spree, I donned my biggest, most voluminous tutu (naturally) and did a bit of a performance in the market square. The crowd gathered, amazed by my glitter and twirls! We even managed to do a mini tutu-workshop – it's the perfect way to bring a community together! The best part was watching everyone get out of their comfort zones and laugh along, with everyone giggling over their wobbly attempts at a pirouette.
Oh, don't you just love it when people come together for something a bit different and whimsical? Seeing the joy and laughter is what truly fills my pink tutu-wearing heart with glee! Remember darlings, whether you're rocking a sparkly frock in the middle of the countryside or in the heart of a vibrant city, always bring a bit of tutu-magic wherever you go!
And for those of you who are wondering, I have my own fabulous performance this evening! This time, it's at the town fair, and my darlings, it’s gonna be BIG. Just imagine…sparkly tutus, a dazzling light show, a pink-themed cake stall – it's gonna be tutu-rific! Don't worry, I'll be sure to snap some pics and share the fun on Instagram later.
