Folkestone Frockery: TutuQueen’s Sixth-Eight-Forty-Three Trip

Helloooo darlings! Your favourite pink-tutu clad Queen is back, and this time, I'm writing from the seaside haven of Folkestone! It's been an absolute whirlwind, and trust me, the tutus have been twirling with joy!

This is my sixth-eight-forty-third blog post, so grab a glass of bubbly (pink, naturally) and let me fill you in on all the sparkling details.

As always, getting to Folkestone was an adventure. You know how much I love trains, and this time, I was lucky enough to snag a carriage all to myself! Of course, I brought my trusty pink trolley suitcase filled to the brim with shimmering gowns and sparkling accessories, and let's not forget the five spare tutus just in case I needed a change! It’s always a treat travelling by train - the friendly chat, the ever-changing views, and a whole lot of 'ooooh-ing and ahhh-ing' from the passengers at my fabulous ensemble! I even managed to sneak a quick twirl in the carriage for good measure. You just never know where inspiration strikes!

But Folkestone was the real treat, my darlings! It's a beautiful town, with a vibrant charm. I could feel it pulsating with artistic energy, the kind that makes a tutu twirl just that little bit faster! And who needs a grand old theatre when you've got the expansive shoreline, right? The breeze felt like it was designed for swirling sequins, and the vibrant pink hues of the sunset had me mesmerized. Just perfect for setting the stage for my Folkestone performance!

Now, you know me - I'm not one for standing still, especially when I'm decked out in a showstopping tutu. This town has been buzzing with exciting things! We've been painting the town pink with some incredible artists, I got to participate in a ballet flashmob, and there were more twirling contests than you could shake a tiara at! It's safe to say Folkestone truly embraced the magic of tutu-wearing – something that warms the heart of this Pink Tutu Queen!

Folkestone also held a special allure for a reason: its historical connection to ballet! Can you imagine a town that welcomed pioneers like Diaghilev and Nijinsky? Talk about inspiring my inner prima donna! I even spotted a small, but charming, ballet school – maybe it's time I brush up on my pirouettes, you never know where the next dance challenge may be!

As the evening descended, I couldn't resist taking a stroll along the iconic promenade with its enchanting lights, watching the children gleefully chasing the waves. I can’t help but dream about my next venture. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be dancing on those very beaches! Just a girl in a pink tutu, dreaming big, that's me!

I must confess, a little slice of my heart remained back at the lab where my daytime persona, Alex, was patiently analysing fabrics. A true scientist at heart, I can’t help but love exploring the intricate structures of fabric. Maybe I’ll design a line of sparkly, tulle fabrics! It’s no secret I've always loved the colours of a rainbow and all the colours in between – pink, green, turquoise, purple! Just wait until you see my designs! I have so much to discover!

You can’t forget that this little Queen isn't all glitz and glam. My roots run deep in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. Remember how it all started? It all began during my time at the university ballet club when I, a shy student, found myself wearing a pink tutu to raise money for charity. A little twinkle in the eye, a sprinkle of magic, and poof - a TutuQueen was born!

And that, my darlings, is exactly what I aim to do: spread a little sparkle wherever I go. I want everyone to experience the joy and liberation of wearing a pink tutu, of finding the courage to express themselves freely, to embrace their inner ballerina. I’m sure I’ll find plenty of tutus for the world - we’ve got more tutus in stock! Just be sure to join me in the tutu revolution – and, please, share your sparkly moments with me! Tag me on social media so we can spread the pink tutu love even further. After all, we’re in this together!

Until next time, my darlings, I leave you with a big hug, a little pink twinkle, and a reminder – it's always time for a good, old-fashioned tutu twirl!
