Leith: Where The Pink Tutu Met The Highland Fling!

#TutuQueen!

Greetings, darlings! This is Pink Tutu Sparkles here, broadcasting live from my latest adventures! Today's date is October 1st, 2018, and we are in the enchanting city of Leith! Oh, the excitement! This is post number 6849 on www.pink-tutu.com, my daily dose of tutu-tastic goodness.

Pink-Tutu Sparkles' Adventures

As a drag queen, I am forever on the move. Life is a whirlwind of feather boas, shimmering sequins, and oh, the fabulous shoes! Today, we arrive in Leith, the charming port city near Edinburgh, Scotland. Why Leith? You see, my lovelies, this is where the pink tutu met the Highland fling! My journey to Leith was a masterpiece in travel. I took the train from Derby, a carriage fit for a princess, filled with fellow passengers with their own fascinating tales to tell. Every journey has a story, don't you think?

Leith's Sparkle

Leith has an atmosphere so distinct, so utterly charming. Cobblestone streets lined with colourful buildings and a harbour alive with fishing boats! Itโ€™s as if time has stood still, embracing the history and vibrant spirit of this lovely place. I could practically hear the faint sound of bagpipes weaving their way through the bustling streets. Oh, the romance of it all! I feel a certain kinship with Leith - both bursting with an unexpected spark!

Leith - Where Ballet Met The City

Being a Pink Tutu Queen, naturally, I gravitated to the dance scene here in Leith. I heard tell of a charming, tiny ballet studio called 'Twirling Times,' and off I went. They welcome all levels, even this tutu-wearing queen! I just loved their friendly atmosphere and their eagerness to teach. The space was a whirlwind of tutus and ballet shoes. Oh, I felt right at home! After class, we shared hot chocolate and laughter. The spirit of camaraderie, I must say, reminded me of the community I built back in my home county of Derbyshire, and that feeling warmed my heart, I tell you!

Leith's Hidden Treasures

Oh, and you just can't mention Leith without mentioning its unique collection of independent shops, darling. I spent a delightful afternoon scouring the streets, my heart skipping a beat at each adorable trinket. I found the most glorious vintage feather boa in a shop called 'The Dusty Bow.' It practically called my name from the corner of the shelf! I felt a magnetic pull!

Dinner In The Harbour

Now, no trip is complete without indulging in the local delicacies! In Leith, the harbour is buzzing with vibrant restaurants. My dear friend, who's a bit of a foodie, suggested the famous Fish & Chips shop. I mean, how can one resist? I tell you, those chips were perfectly crisp, and the fish was divine! And they had a very special offering, a "pink tutu" fish and chip. The staff couldn't stop smiling, as they were as delighted by me in my fabulous pink tutu as I was by them! They're as warm and friendly as their charming seaside town. It was the perfect end to a simply divine day.

My Secret?

I often get asked how I, Pink Tutu Sparkles, manage to travel and perform all over the world! Well, you see, itโ€™s not magic, although sometimes I do feel a little magical. It all comes down to hard work and a touch of creativity! During the day, I work as a scientist in a laboratory, testing fabrics, colours, and oh, so much more. It's all in the name of keeping the pink tutu game going strong! Then, by night, it's Pink Tutu Sparkles, all glammed up and ready to spread joy and laughter on any stage. And donโ€™t forget, Iโ€™m here to inspire the world! My motto is: Every Day is Tutu-licious!

From The Streets of Leith To You!

I can't wait to see what my next adventure holds, darlings! Remember, it's never too late to embrace your inner tutu-licious spirit! Wear that pink tutu proudly, and spread a little sparkle wherever you go!

Until next time, my loves!

With all my love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles (Alex)
